Murad orders launching of Malir Expressway, road, water projects for Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah while reviewing the development projects being launched on Public Private Partnership (PPP-mode) has directed the Chief Secretary to appoint a Project Director for Malir Expressway so that it could be started within next seven months.

Sorry for the off topic question but is M8 completed yet, I remember it was near completion but have not seen any news of its inauguration.

Where are all the Red, yellow, orange and purple lines from this map in action ? And greenline is also everlasting project. Except for Blueline (By Malik Riaz from Bahria to Tower or Airport), all others are no where to be seen

Red line kuch din pehly manzur hui hai. Green line aur orange line under construction hain.

Malir Expressway project is important though it will take another 5 years to get completed. It will connect DHA phase 9 directly with Khayaban e Itehad (DHA phase 7) through just 20 mins drive. Also it will be beneficial for BT, Karachi and other housing schemes on super highway.

Superhighway is the only place where future Karachi will/can be expanded. Most of the housing schemes at superhighway are well planned with proper utilities connection unlike in Karachi where everything is a mess now. So it is imperative for Karachi residential areas, along with commercial schemes are contained from further growth and burden is transferred to Superhighway. But for the schemes located at superhighway, connectivity with the city center is essential if they want to be successful hence this Malir expressway is important strategic project.

That would definitely bring DHA city and BTK to totally another level in property market.

perhaps yes, nothing good is expected from them but I have say this that at the moment, their everything is under heavy scrutiny . Not easy for them to do corruption these days.
