You live in US right. Then you should know in US if a suspect commits robbery in a store but if the police intervene and accidentally kills the store clerk, the suspect will be tried for murder as well.
In India, I believe this is the first time it is happening and a very good precedent. You see before all sundry human rights organizations and NGOs will get involved and cry wolf and ask for enquiry for police firing. But now, the roles have reversed and these people have to pay dearly. And going forward, taking this case as a precedent, any organizations will be afraid of riots else if a murder happens, they will be held responsible.
LOL... Dont bring USA to compare with India. USA will be offended. USA police knows how to properly use arms and apply laws to it. In USA a police can be tried as well for excessive use of force as well. Its a thin line.
