even though muslim league existed way back from 1909, but today's muslim league is just a reminiscent of the 1962 muslim league which in 1988 broke off in two factions, muslim league functional(junejo) and muslim league

APMSO = foundation in 1978, MQM foundation = 1984

Nawas Shareef started his political career in 1979 where he took party in local body elections

nawaz ran for election on IJI alliance in 1988, 1990 while MQM took part in 1988 all forthcoming elections as totally and purely MQM

the PMLN began its independent identity no sooner than 1993 elections
