It surprises me that a party founded for migrants from India will remain more secular than other parties. Common sense suggest that these people will have antipathy towards people of other religion especially hindus. (if they suffered during migration or fleeing religious persecution themselves).

We migrants/Urduwans/Muhajirs(like 99% other Pakistanis) follow the principle of our father Sir Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah (R.A). Unfortunately the world focus on the rest 1% & showcase them in a manner that they are now perceived as 100%.

You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place or worship in this state of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed that has nothing to do with the business of the state

I cannot emphasize it too much. We should begin to work in that spirit and in course of time all these angularities of the majority and minority communities, the Hindu community and the Muslim community, because even as regards Muslims you have Pathans, Punjabis, Shias, Sunnis and so on, and among the Hindus you have Brahmins, Vashnavas, Khatris, also Bengalis, Madrasis and so on, will vanish.

Speaking of surprises, isn't that lovely? An indian showing admiration for the most hated,treasonous and violent political entity in Pakistan ...why, the thought of that could never have possibly occured to me!

pakistanis are actually v fond of labelling others as traitors, well it wasn't MQM which broke pakistan(ppp) or lost siachen(zia) or troubles in Balochistan(musharraf) or FATA, KPK(nawaz, taliban) etc

This is perhaps the biggest reason MQM will always have my sympathises. I've been listening to speeches of Altaf Hussain on religious tolerance for years, I don't believe there is any other political or religious leader in Pakistan who has so clearly raised his voice for religious tolerance. Well done MQM.
