A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement met with the chief of Tehrik-i-Minhajul Quran chief Tahirul Qadri at his residence Sunday.

The MQM delegation, comprising Senator Nasreen Jalil, MPA Raza Haroon and Saif Yar Khan, met with Qadri to discuss a possible alliance in Punjab, among other issues. Both the sides agreed to press for implementation of articles 62 and 63 of the constitution for coming general elections and cooperate for ensuring the rule of law.

The MQM delegation delivered a message of Altaf Hussain and assured their cooperation to Qadri. Qadri said elections would be unconstitutional and unacceptable to the people without electoral reforms. He said he would announce the future strategy on 17th or 18th of March which would be in line with the aspirations of the people.
