Move to open Bangladesh consulate office in Guwahati protested

"There should be an office ONLY if they accept to take back 50 million illegal Muslim Bangladeshis". This is what @SarthakGanguly states. How about learning the reality from the data below, Mr. Ganguly?

Although Indians claim all the time that their friends' hire BD housemaids and servants, the table above shows no money is remitted to BD from India. However, India receives $3.72 billion remittance from BD. So, can the Indians explain this phenomenon to us?

There is plenty of result. Lots of anger and tears from resident BD members here :D Best kind of result if you ask me.
Maybe if they go toward unification that may get them the result they desire :D

You mean Akhand Bharat?
While some ignorant Indians dream for Akhand Bharat, the govt. of India is worrying about an Akhand Bengal. This worrying prospect is causing India to speak of superficial love towards Bangladesh.

Someone is sending unreliable information on remittance. The Indians should be happy to read the small piece of news below to know how our small country BD is helping India by providing opportunities for their unemployed.

BD 5th remittance source of India

DESPITE India's so-called regional superpower status and Bangladesh's tiny economic outlook, one may believe it or not but Bangladesh is now the fifth largest remittance earning source for India. A Bangalore based magazine has disclosed that expatriate Indians working in Bangladesh have successfully drained away US$ 3,716 million alone last year as half a million Indians are now working in Bangladesh; mostly in the readymade garment industry and in NGOs'.
While most Indian media and politicians are continuously making the point that India is inundated by illegal migrants from Bangladesh, the report in Silicon India showed that the reverse is actually true . It tells us that it is not only the richer countries but Bangladesh also which is providing employment to the bulk of Indians and they are sending a overwhelming flow of remittance to their homes. The report mentioned about scores of illegal immigrants from the Indian states of West Bengal, Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura and Mizoram who have entered Bangladesh and joined the job market. The Indian central government's documents also confirmed the fact as per the news report.
As we see, the World Bank figure showed that India earned the highest value of remittances in the world. It earns US$ 71 billion annually followed by China which earns $60 billion. It is indeed surprising that Bangladesh rests in the list of India's top remittance sources along with the world's top developed nations. According to descending order of earning, Bangladesh stands fifth among India's top remittance providers only next to UAE, USA, KSA and UK. Last year Bangladesh provided 5 percent of the total remittance earnings of India which had a eight times larger population and a 23 times larger landmass. Estimations suggest that the rising flow of remittance will only exponentially increase in the near future.
We know in an age of free trade and mobility of capital it is very natural that the two countries with a long shared border and economic potentials will reciprocally share their resources to develop the region. But, it does not take an economist to know that India only believes in one-way traffic and it wants to be at the receiving end. Apart from regular killings, rapes, intimidation and torture of unarmed people on the high rise barbed border, Bangladeshis' are clearly not getting similar treatment from India when it comes about job opportunities or duty free export access into the Indian market. India's exports to Bangladesh are now around $10 billion including remittances while our exports to India now stands at around $600 million. This is definitely not the win-win situation and can only be compared with a colonial trading system.
The breaking of the news by the Indian magazine has come as an eye opener to the nation and we suggest that the government take a review of the situation to apprise the nation of the reality in the ground. We don't know about the employers and the internal police verification system. We don't know how Bangladesh Bank is monitoring transfer of money by Indian expatriates. Some politicians may compromise, but the nation must take hold of its affairs.

It is no wonder why BD is suffering from shortage of foreign currency. It is because at least 500,000 Indians sneak into BD and work illegally, send money back to their families in the poor India. Without these pitiful Indians, BD foreign currency reserves would have shot up to $60 billion. India is always the source of BD suffering.

Poor Indians remit less from the U.K than they they remit from a poor BD. Indians are draining away our foreign currency reserve. Without these illegal Indians, our reserves would shot up to $60 billion.

The unofficial amounts transferred to India from Bangladesh through HUNDI, smuggling of gold bars from bangladesh, specifically built makeshift labs exclusively for producing addictive drugs all along the close vicinity of our international borders , along with a never ending list, of items smuggled into Bangladesh, in exchange of hard currency has NOT been taken into account at all.

So you think bengalis in UK are leaving for Assam? Its getting more interesting.

Do not these families in the UK suffer financial hardship because of large households? People with less education tend to have many children. Are these 4th generation Bangladeshis are fully educated and cultured? Please check your information first and then answer.

Fertility Rates of Southern Asia according to Latest Data

Bangladesh - 2.18

India - 2.43

Pakistan - 3.62

Sri Lanka - 2.08

Maldives - 2.12

Bhutan - 2.03

Nepal - 2.22

Afghanistan - 4.84

As you can see the fertility of rate of Bangladesh is considerably lower than Pakistan. The rate in West Bengal is 1.8 which is even lower than Bangladesh's. In Canada, many Pakistani families have 4-6 kids to get government benefits.

It's true, but then the statement holds some truth, more kids more benefits lol. Those are Sylhetis you're talking about, trends will be a bit different as they can be more conservative.

How about learning the reality from the data below, Mr. Ganguly?
Many of the companies in BD are Indian owned and probably since the lack of skilled labor is acute, more Indians are forced to stay there and operate to optimize operations. I am assuming they work there and produce finished good using Indian tech. These good are sold in the BD market. The profits are reaped by the companies. Why is this bad for India or Indians?

The assumption that Indians work in Bangladeshi owned businesses overwhelmingly is ludicrous. Bangladesh does not have a significant domestic industry.

I am not a real 'Ganguly'.

This is true. Money sent back home is counted officially if
* If the worker comes legally and has a family to send money back to.

That does not happen because most BD Muslims work illegally in our country.
They also often bring their entire families here and then they feel no need to send money 'back home'. They adopt Indian 'citizenship'. Most BDs find that offensive and I welcome that attitude.

They were found working in different establishments such as NGOs, garments, textile, IT and sent money back home through hundi transfer systems ( According to the WIKI) You may search the validity of this info In BMHA !!! So I think we should also open an office.
Sure, an exchange will be great. Otherwise many BD illegal immigrants will suffer terribly in stateless camps in the near future.

Many Indians near the border area come and work as farm labors. Why do you feel shame when people work and not beg? Do you think, it is only industries and big office that employ people?
