Submarine warfare well russians arent behind anyone... if not on top but maybe second best... Underestimating them for the reason they don't have huge war ship count will be ignorance if anything else. China is picking up real fast ... u never know when the pass everyone... but as of now no.

Nope you should study what your navy is doing and what others are doing 
there's no new big ship in russian navy; now russia can't any longer build any big ship due to its budget and facility problems;
it launches only one or two new submarine a year; also it only upgrades small size of its remaining fleet
I agree russia still has advantage over submarine warfare because many 1980s-designed russian SSNs still remain (although they're very obsolete too) however, as repeatedly proved in modern naval warfare like WWII, submarine is NOT important as much as surface ship; most important goal of all navy is to control sea and it provides safety for our army and transports; submarine warfare is mostly designed to attack ships (NOT to contral sea)
Soviet navy had mostly focused on building submarines than suface ships because it admitted US navy was much stronger and Soviet wanted to kill it (but never it happen)
so let us understand surface ship is major naval performer (NOT submarine)
and plz plz plz no more patriotic bluffs in my reply we all live in real world (NOT in your wish)
