After reading these new pictures carefully, I begin to understand why President Xi mentions the following in his report to the 19th CPC National Congress: 南海岛礁建设积极推进 / Construction on islands and reefs in the South China Sea has seen steady progress.

Once the energy infrastructure of these islands completed, I won't be surprised that China start to put her newly-developed railgun on these islands, or at least put the railguns on some patrols vessels to protect these islands.

Those pictures put things in scale of how freaking big those islands are. holy cow. each one is bigger than Pearl harbor.

So after all those noises about "not letting China build any more islands or military facilities in the SCS"... what happened?

The American government took their people for a ride, they never had any intention of stopping China's construction in the SCS.

and we're permanently settle in SCS once for good

I was laughing each time when US navy set sail with 12 miles of our islands, Americans people had to shoulder the expensive bill of sending their Navy just to have few minute visit of our Islands while we're there 24/7 and 365 days.

give it a few more years, China gonna turn those into resort islands. China's hawaii if you will, complete with a set of military installations like pearl harbor in hawaii. I think that's the endgame.
