Most hospitable countries?

No idea.
But if you ask the tourists, they would say Pakistan.

Before this 9/11 and the Taliban Cr@p, we were called as 'Land of Hospitality' and we still are, but the Media has ruined our image and no one wants to visit us. If someone actually does, they I am sure he would throw an other visit next year ;)

i would say, by living abroad

1. pakistan
2. arabs(i got that from some morocco friends)
3. chinese
4. blacks

..................english hospitality sucks

i didnt find indians very hospitable, though i expected from them.... but others may agree to disagree, open for suggestions

i find punjabis also very hospitable, they beat karachites on this

Depending on where you are, the United States is very hospitable.

Of course depends where you are.

I've seen people actually stop their cars, get out and help random old people cross the street and I've seen actual NYC cops refuse to help you out with simple info just because its not officially in their Job Description.

In India, especially in north India, being nice is underrated and I can tell you this being a north Indian myself. It's not to say that people are are not nice or anything but nice people usually get the stick over here.

Saying 'please' and 'thank you' is considered servile. 'Sorry' is considered equivalent to a gaali to the self-ego.

Many people believe that being brute and a bully with get them their way through things.

We Indians need to work on our manners. People spit anywhere without a second thought and being associated with an NGO, I can tell you that it leads to spread of many diseases like TB etc.

Personal hygiene is highly neglected.

Not to offer any explanation but I think I know why these things happen in a society. You know, when a human being has to fight everyday for mere survival and when just earning a simple roti is equivalent to going to war, things like manners, personal hygiene etc. get lowered in priority very easily.

Education is the only thing that can save India. No God, no Allah, no Bhagwan will save India, education will.

I would rate US. They let you be part of any community where you share common interests be it scientific/cultural/technical/frat. There something for everyone in US.

May depend on location in India too, some find gujaratis/marathis and south indians to be more hospitable while some find Indian punjabis. I am from Delhi and I know that Delhiites are not so down to earth so if you were in Delhi then I am not surprised by your answer.
