Moscow Issues Point-of-No-Return Warning on Missile Defense

Russia and the United States could still reach agreement on the missile defense issue but time is running out, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Friday.

“When the implementation of the third and then fourth and subsequent stages of the phased adaptive approach on the [U.S.] global defense system begins, the situation could alter for us,” Sergei Ryabkov said.

He reiterated Moscow’s demand for legally binding guarantees that U.S. and NATO missiles will not be aimed at Russia, warning that otherwise unspecified “compensatory” countermeasures would follow.

Get real Moscow. You know it, we know it, they know it, it's aimed at you and at China. So get on with it already.

China has their own program going on, Russia doesn't seem to care.

Face it Russia, the wheels of history are turning once again and what was taken out of the box cannot be put back. The best bet for Russia now is to either partner with a country on missile defence or do it itself.

We do care were just not talking about it in open, talking about the Chinese treat in Russia these days is kinda of taboo, because after all where supposed to be allies against. But the US is also currently the world leader when it comes to ABM tech, Chinese ABM program is nowhere as big of a treat as the US program.

Face it Russia, the wheels of history are turning once again and what was taken out of the box cannot be put back. The best bet for Russia now is to either partner with a country on missile defence or do it itself.

We already are with S-500 development, and are other ABM programs.
