What's new

Morning Drive in Lower Parel in 4K | Mumbai

I've seen it en masse in Thailand. Heard they are in the Philippines and so on. Maybe in future, these will change to EV's. And trust me, I hate rickshaws, they are a car that rides like a bike.

They’re all over Indonesia, Colombia and a couple of other South American countries too.

Yes the architecture is really good with red khaprail, terracota(you heard the word Kavelu) tiles on the roof and a blend off Anglo and local architecture.

In Sindh Pakistan, Rickshaws is a vote bank political thing, it seems, local peoples party govt. has provided these with some Rozgar scheme with easy bank loans from Tameer bank and others, now there are so many of them in Karachi and other cities, CNG rickshaws, and mostly the people are from south Punjab owning them, ironically.

Many taxi rozgar schemes in Punjab as well...

Piaggio (of Italy) and Bajaj seem to have a never ending love affair ever since the first motorised rickshaws were imported into the country back in the 70s. Their useless products, both in 2 and 3 wheel variations, are disgusting and create traffic problems everywhere.
I’d be very happy if Bajaj shut down operations completely.

Piaggio is the larger variant isnt it ? Yep bloody curse and as @Pluralist mentioned Tuk Tuk's have become a vote bank along with the private bus mafia in the island, So Politicians seldom would take any tangible action but they have passed a law recently that every tuk tuk need to have a fare meter

@Bombaywalla here's something you can enjoy in regards to a tuk tuk.. From a Aussie documentary Tuk tuk diaries .. Pretty epic, Listen to the lyrics.. :-)

Ah ha! It's the same here. Cheap loans and politics, they do repay them though both money and votes.

LOL...funny India and Pakistan have more similarities than differences, as it is said...The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Some politicians want to maintain the way people live. Poor, not looking for a better option. Fomenting trouble between communities and so on. So, they throw these bones everything for free, so the people don't work to earn rather they look for the easy option create a bunch of lazy useless people who always look up to the government to pay for their stuff. If they screw up, let the government pay. We the taxpayers pay for all the expenses at the cost of infra and other developments.

Yes true poverty pays in south Asia...to these filthy politicians. Vote banks politics have destroyed so many stellar institutions here which were a cut above just few years ago. They want them like that to remain that way...

Lack of meritocracy, nepotism and giving jobs on political basis is a curse in govt. departments and companies.

Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore have amazing infrastructure but are screwed real bad because of the heavy migration.
Delhi looks so awesome at night time and during holidays. :(

I long to see a day where we have European standard infrastructure.

Tier-1 cities too allowed? Not alone big cities. In southern west coast of India, 1400kms down south from Bombay, is Kochi city:
Kochi (Cochin). Being a coastal city, the horizontal growth is much less and highway infrastructure is not adequate due to population congestion in the small state (Kerala) which is more like a continuous urban agglomeration from north to south.

Forgot to add, Kochi city has a 18 kms Metro railway which may get extended soon.

Kochi is looking awesome, tropical green and verdant. Looks less populated and the city spread is wider.

Kallar Kahar to Islamabad | Punjab | Pakistan, M-2 Motorway.

The start to end hues and colors variants with blue vignette in the end looks good. Watch in HD, widescreen from the start, it is starting at the end here.
