I've met Dr. Yasmeen Rashid personally during her election campaign. She was doing door to door campaign and I was in her constituency (have few close relatives there). She's very nice person. I have followed her in a few talk shows, she talks with logic. She deserves better position in party.

Veteran PPP Punjab leaders likely to join PTI


GUJRANWALA: Prominent name of Pakistan People’s Party Punjab Dr Firdaus Ashiq Awan along with 25 members is likely to join Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf soon.

According to media reports, PPP members are in constant talks with PTI’s Punjab leadership and the final announcement can be made at any appropriate time.

Reports claim that besides Dr Firdaus Ashiq Awan, Vice president of PPP Punjab, Chaudhary Tariq Gujjar, Chaudhary Siddique Gujjar, Rana Faisal Rauf and Chaudhary Saeed Gujjar are ready to change their political loyalties.

It is pertinent to mention that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had earlier rejected Dr Firdaus Awan’s resignation and advised her to continue working.

SIALKOT: PML-Q backed former district naib nazim Rana Ejaz Ahmad, PPP-backed former AJK MLA Chaudhry Maqbul Ahmad, former UC nazims Rashid Mehmood and Rana Ehsan Ahmad joined the PTI on Wednesday.

They announced their decision at a press conference at Jinnah House here in the presence of PTI leaders Umer Dar, Usman Dar and Khwaja Arif Ahmed.
