What's new

More & more Chinese travel to Japan, just buy buy buy ! Shoping can't stop ...

@rugering ---- and all my open minded Chinese brothers....

Here's a view of Chinese student living in Japan. ;)

What Chinese students love about Living in Japan.... ;)

It's a pity that it's been a while since his latest video and I couldn't find much about "Woo Pynchon", but that vlog was quite entertaining. :)

Older Chinese like hard cash, but more and more young Chinese like UnionPay bank card. Especially most young Chinese love online shopping, as far as i see almost all young ppl has their own UnionPay cards.
Credit cards I use have some type of rewards, ie 5% Cashback or points. I use credit card to buy now pay later.
Plus credit cards add liquidity to the market

@cnleio
you live in Shenzen, right? If you do, you ever come across Serpentza? the youtubevlogger?
He's your typical loser gwailo that Chinese girls fall for.

I'm glad to see people are starting to squash the perception credit cards are some big evil.
They are convenient and the rewards are great (I have some over 5%).

Of course if you can't pay your bills in full every month they aren't for you.

Is this guy Australian or something? He can't even gather his thoughts together..

hahaha, yea i've been following him since his first vlog. There's another guy who i follow who is a German that was studying in Korea and Japan:

And if you like the background music, its called "Glimpse of Winter" by Approaching Nirvana ;)

Wow, it seems like you are the right person to ask, just as I thought.

Need to scan a seated Buddha statue that is about 28 cm H and then to get it printed by the shop in an smaller size, about 18 cm H, In terms of material, as cheap as possible, any plastic will do. Thanks man.
Here i contact a ShenZhen 3D print company, called ShenZhen Golden Stone 3D print tech ltd.co . They can provide 3D scanning & 3D printing service ... using SLA lazer to 3D print photosensitive resin , also can CNC to machine alloy metal. :agree:

  1. Current photosensitive resin is the cheapest as 3D printed material, price 4 RMB/g, a SLA just need few hours to finish a 3D printed product. Of course if u need mass production, that price can cost down ( here need further discuss with the business personnel). The 3D printed photosensitive resin can through electroplating or color painting process to deal with later.
  2. If u can offer STL file of 3D data, no need 3D scanning directly 3D printing ... or they might ask 500 RMB ~ 2,000 RMB for 3D scanning + STL file output (different size of the object, different price). That 3D scanning and STL file output will cost few days. The importance is u must send a seated Buddha statue to their 3D company for scanning.

Very good info, thank you very much. That picture with statues in bronze look mighty good.
I'll talk further to that company and maybe I can get the work done there.

I just found a company in Guangzhou that makes the 3D printers, they also sell the plastics (cheaper types, not photo sensitive resin, about $12 per kilo). They sell a dragon 3D printer for $3000 that I really like (prints up to 50 cm height. I'll have to check about available scanners. Maybe I'll just buy the whole 3D set up.

He is South African, but ethnicity he is british/german. He lived in China for more than 5 years and intent to get permanent residence which is impossible. He owned motorcycle shop and was recently divorced with Hong kongese. Now his girlfriend is a doctor from mainland China. As a fan of his vlog, his remarks are spot on about negative and positive things about China. Check his youtubevlog, which is mostly about Shenzen. I cant believe how progressive Shenzen is.

Ah South African...that explains a lot. He seems to view his world in a very defensive "street smart" manner. But being from South Africa explains the reason as he should be quite battle hardened.

Yeah in one of the video's, i believe last year, he explained the reason he didnt want to post his Dalian adventure due to the dead of a goodfriend of his. A white girl who he knew long time from kindergarten and considered as his sister was shot dead by those blacks. Uploading the Dalian video with her in the picture was someting he mentally cant do right now. He tried not to be racist against blacks, at least not shown on the video, but i can tell that he does not want come back to South Africa. He just renew his China visa every year. That guy really enjoyed East Asia. He has been in Taiwan, Japan and now settle in Shenzen. In fact he shuffle between these countries for vacations and quite enjoying the east asian culture. For me it is always a pleasure to watch his new video. He got 40k subscribe this week!

And yeah you are right about him street smart and battle hardened. You would too if you have lived in South Africa.
Too bad i am not allowed to post link to the homicide rate in South Africa, but check it on wikipedia, that should give you an estimate how dangerous that country is.

So he prefers living in China? Has he gone to visit Korea, Japan, Taiwan? What's his view of these other countries?

PS. I do notice lots of foreigners (of the western persuasion) tend to like China more ?

I like to visit Japan also one day it is a interesting country

Well, i was 1 of the few subscribers from his early day as China youtubevlog. Trust me the video's he uploaded didnt look so professional like the ones he make lately. That is what i missed about the old ones :the autenticy, the feeling of loneliness in his sad eyes, and ohh yeah the cursing hehehhe. He came to China accompanying his boss for business deal in motorcycles parts or something. He was sceptical about China and could only think of the stereotype:dirt,poor,100% communist rule like north korea, you know the western media try to picture China. When he came to China and saw how huge China was and the different image he got from the western tv and newspaper, he couldnt believe his eyes. Once the business with his boss in China finished, they went back to South Africa, but he could not forget about China and started to sell everything he owned in South Africa LOL. Trust me that required huge guts. In one of the old video's, when he was drunk, he mentioned about the hardship during the first year in China, not knowing anyone here, no job,not speaking chinese. He even eventually get homeless! But he is street smart and somehow fought back his misery and now pretty comfortable with his life. Basically he made the youtube video's to make sure foreigners dont make the same mistake as he did with regard to visa, job, etc. If you check his video's, he has so much golden tips for each China situation.
I like that kind of guy. Really i hope when i go to Hong kong , i can meet him in shenzhen.

To answer your question, i know he only visited Thailand(wedding trip), Japan,Taiwan, but not Korea. He love Japanese and Chinese culture. In one of the videos his japanese friend visited him in Shenzen and Serpentza took his japanese friend out for dinner and made vlog about them, drinking and eating chinese food. He loves Taiwan too. Basically only China,Japan,Taiwan his preferable choice as far as i can tell.
With regard to your second question: i dont know why people choose China than Japan or vice versa. Like Serpentza said: "either you like China or you hate it". There is no middle way. I think people choose china for career and japan more as relax tourists place, who knows.

Very Good ... just this isn't i said SLA 3D printer, the Lazer 3D printer has more accuracy and sensitive, bigger and professional, it can make very complicated object and alloy metal. It's the Industrial-grade 3D printer.

The FDM 3D printer (Fused Deposition Modeling) that u found, to hot-melt ABS plastic and print the object by stepper motors moving ... it's a cheaper entry-grade 3D printer, also can 3D print the object just not so complicated. FDM 3D printer only print plastic materials like ABS not Metal.

Well the FDM 3D printer cheaper than SLA 3D printer ... and 3D materials of ABS plastic for FDM cheaper than Thermally sensitive resin for SLA. Both FDM and SLA 3D printer all Made in China, u can choose a good one for printing statue product.:D

Yes, you are totally right, I understand the differences. The industrial grade printers are very good and also very expensive. The thing is, I have to scan and print so many items that eventually I'm going to need my own set up and it needs to be cost effective. For the statues that I need to print, the Guangzhou printers are fine in terms of quality, but before I buy a set up there, I'll probably print a few items at the place in Shenzhen.

Thank you for all the good info man. Very much appreciated.:tup::tup: Whichever set up it is, China has a solution for me. :partay:
