You know the US actually did that. The first manned mission they didn't know(want) how to dispose poop so they had it with them on the moon but since the weight of the lander had to be very precise heading back and they wanted to collect moon rocks they left their poop there. I hope India has found a better solution by now because the thought of that might deter anyone else from going to the moon again.

That being said I do not agree with the gist of the thread, ISRO’s missions are independent of India multiple ans glaring social issues if they are a positive contributor to the world scientific community at large.

1969 moon landings were carried out during heightened social and economic tensions within the United States yet the accomplishment was necessary.

Hospital conditions in India are result of years of corruption it has nothing to do with india's moon mission . Give credit where it's due and criticize where it's necessary .

May I ask does everyone here consider scientific and technological progress a luxary for rich nations?

You guys do realise that majority of American space progress happened during a time when US had 15-20 % poverty among the privlrdged class and 50 % among the minorties?

Heck the present day U.S.A. is actually divided in two. The edge or prosperous U.S.A. and the heartland with a lot of broken infrastructure. BTW so is China and lets not even talk of Russia and USSR.
