Just like Uighurs in China are just Chinese who happen to live in Northwestern China?

That is disputable. I know some Nepali's who belive NE India is actually Nepal's territory. When China took Tibet, the Tibetan empire stretched into India, but India gained it back when China took over. So NE India is just as disputed as NW China.

If you look at the ethnic makeup of NE India, it's the same situation as NW China. China and India have much more in common than you think.

Northies in South,Southies in North is not racism, but N-E people are discriminated based on racial feature and this is racism. We as Indians should feel ashamed about it.

Oh come on...A girl gets teased in Delhi and says i got teased because i am from North-East is just crap.North Indian girls get teased too...shall they also say that its racism.

And what racism are you talking about?Have you ever seen a North-East Indian going for job and getting sent back coz he is from N-E region...i havent.

If your point is guys passing comments then it happens everywhere...North Eastern get called Ch**ks..Southies are called darkies and North indians are called bhaiyyas.

We Indians too behave differently in other countries. Does it mean it gives licence to goras to discriminate us. When we have objections on how Indian students are treated in Australia, we should have even more objections to how N-E people are treated in other parts of India. It is after all their country as much as ours.
