Money or Strategic Interests?

it's actually the other way around...and folks I've spoken to who have travelled to india are shocked how even in your federal capital (where there's a dengue outbreak nowdays) -- millions line the streets at night hungry. Children scour outside of restaurants trying to find leftover foods near the dumpsters.

it's hundreds of millions of your people who are malnourished not ours

Hard nosed statistics prove otherwise.

pakistan is ranked lower on Global Hunger Index at rank 57 than India at rank 55. This means that more pakistanis are hungry than Indians as percentage. This is an established fact.

Life expectancy at birth in India is 68.45 years, while in pakistan it is 67.73 years. Indians live longer than pakistanis. This again is an established fact.

So either you are misinformed or you are a liar.

I strongly believe its strategic ties, that all 3 countries want to have with Pakistan, but specially China & Russia. Why China because of Gawadar. China & Pakistan both strongly believe that Gawadar is a strategical location in the region & I believe it to.

Russia has been invited since Gen. musharraf time of rule to use the hot waters which is probably through Gawadar. Pakistan is trying to bring in Russia & there is a little success.

india has it's own definition of "absolute poverty" and the poverty line, Pakistan goes by UN framework

it's worth mentioning Mahbub ul Haq, a highly revered and world renowned Pakistani economist known worldwide for his brilliant work having devised the Human Development Index (HDI) which agencies like the UNDP and other bodies have been using for decades

I've never been to india (and dont ever plan or wish to) but every foreign friends of mine who HAVE visited both countries always proclaim poverty and lack of cleanliness is much more pronounced and visible in india

.
Really ?
They maintained near 10% growth for more than two decades ,even came nearer to 15%.

India's unique features enable us

Like what? I really don't think India can grow for over 8% for four decades as you said. If India grows over 8% for 10-20 years count yourself really, really lucky. China has an advanced industry, much less political problems that stopped it from growing, less bureaucracy and hurdles, less political instability and the largest exporter in the world. China had massive foreign investment that helped it to grow, employment etc. Unfortunately I don't see that type of FDI to India because of the reasons mentioned above.

Both GHI and life expectancy are measured on uniform basis across countries, and it is an established and quantified fact that pakistanis are hungrier and die earlier than Indians.

What you or your friends believe make no difference to objective ground reality. Most probably ,you being a pakistani and a muslim, is friend with people having zero objectivity or rationality.

it is hard to quantify hunger. it is not hard to measure life expectancy. India and Pakistan have the same life expectancy

In that case take issue with IFPRI. They measure GHI based on five parameters which are same across countries, and based on performance on those parameters, Pakistan is hungrier than India.

Life expectancy at birth is 68.3 years for Indians while that of Pakistanis is 66.4 years as per 2015 WHO data.

not enough of a statistical difference
