CNBC, the global news channel, said that the Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has a comprehensive plan to transform the kingdom into a technology-based country in all aspects of life by transferring all technologies in the Silicon Valley region of the United States, to take its place in the kingdom, and to benefit the government and the private sector, as well as the new Saudi generations.

New Silicon Valley in the Middle East

The biggest challenges announced by Prince Mohammed bin Salman are to be found in the city of "Neom", located in the far north-west of the Kingdom, that will represent a new Silicon Valley in the Middle East. Technology will be its first concern. Innovation will not be limited to nanotechnology, Sensors, Internet of things, electric vehicles, robotics and renewable materials. But will also create favorable conditions for the creation of systems that promote such innovations, such as research, development, supply, transport and infrastructure.
As well as creating favorable conditions for testing Saudi inventions, such as self-propelled means of transportation from one point to another, unmanned aerial vehicles and self-learning traffic systems.

A vital role for technology

Technology will play a key role in the Saudi transformation, according to the US channel. The former president of Google in the Arab region, Abdulrahman al-Tarbazouni, said he moved to Riyadh to build the largest technology venture fund in the Middle East, "Saudi Technology Ventures", which was founded by STC.
"I and my team have a number of ideas on areas of innovation that Saudi Arabia aspires to pursue on a global scale. For example, our country is of a size close to the size of the western United States, most of which are intertwined with the infrastructure of the distribution of oil, energy and telecommunications".
"It is difficult to imagine the integration of the latest drones and satellite technologies with complex automated vision systems to shape the home surveillance sector that has become standard. Everywhere we look, we see an opportunity".
"America, its people and institutes will be important partners for us in our journey," says Tarbazouni. Many Saudis have learned how to learn, how to build and measure things from universities and big companies, and now we are putting this knowledge to work and succeed in our home. We hope the US will join us, spiritually and practically, as well as to start with us on this exciting journey. "

Goodbye to the gradual solutions

The channel referred to a speech by the Crown Prince with the 60 Minutes program, in which he said that the Kingdom is in a stage where it can no longer afford the gradual solutions. A whole generation of Saudi youth believes that Mohammed bin Salman is more than necessary for the country. Because he was raised to sense the hope of millions of Saudi youth, he is instructed and educated in technologies that the majority of the people tends to. Prince Mohammed bin Salman says: "Get out and make this happen." Such as Neom, a planned economic zone, and imagines Saudi Arabia on the world stage.

The channel reported that the new Saudi Arabia will rely more on technology, the Internet and digital life, and it was clear during the Saudi Crown Prince's talk about the "Silicon Valley" experience in America and people like Steve Jobs, and that the stories of success of these personalities will be lessons and examples for many people in Saudi Arabia to follow.
