The virus of ' demand a smaller state' and get a bargaining clout of your own seems to be spreading across borders.

Wonder how a Mohajir State will help.

KARACHI - The Mohajir Sooba Tehreek (MST) spokesperson Syed Ali on Friday vowed that the Mohajir community will not allow the anti-state elements to succeed in their conspiracies.

In a press statement issued here, the MST spokesperson argued that the Mohajir province would play a vital role in strengthening the country and urged the armed forces to support the movement. Referring to the formation of Gilgit-Baltistan through an executive order, he demanded the establishment of a separate province for Mohajirs as well. The MST leader warned the anti-state elements not to hold the freedom rally scheduled for March 23 in Karachi, saying, “The Mohajir community will stand by Pakistan Army to foil the anti-state conspiracies.”
They are old traitors known for terrorism on ethnic bases just like MQM and also involved in people being killed and they are trying to divide Pakistan on ethnic bases this will keep continuing until and unless Pakistan with full support Pakistan with two nation theory

i totally disagree with MQM they are not people originaly of this province infact they are refuges as they came now become part of sindh but still they are not one should ask for seprate province

I do not support Mohajir province but I must say one thing. How many years must pass before you're considered a local? Of we wanted a separate province, should the vote only be decided by people who've always lived in Sindh? Then we must also make sure that any one with Arab blood in them also not be allowed to vote

well actually NOW muhajir in pakistan are the afghani refugees! so i don't know what the commotion is about!! because clearly all urdu speaking are Pakistani more pakistani then some balochis, sindhis, punjabis and pathans!

and not ALL URDU SPEAKING people are represented by ALTAF!

Calling traitor the guy who openly warned nationalists anti state elements to not to hold freedom rally announced on march 23rd , seems like you have lost the plot

Can't comment about the topic but let me tell you guys one thing - it's just disgusting to hear that family of people, who sacrificed for Pakistan and migrated to their new home in 1947, are still called immigrants (Mohajirs) today. For god sake, it has been decades since their ancestors moved to Pakistan so why still call them immigrants.

I think this is pure discrimination and need to be stopped. They should be called simply Pakistanis not Mohajirs or some thing else.

Agree with you, but what shall we call them then? Sure they are Pakistani like the rest of us, but unlike us which also go by the name Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashtun etc what should we call the "Mohajirs"? Urdu-Speaking doesn't work well because not all speak Urdu as a mother tongue. Thats the real issue.

If the "Mohajir" themselves suggest a better term to call them by, I'd be perfectly fine with it, but unfortunately there just doesn't seem to be many unique terms

Yes & do you know who created that mess???? MQM left the alliance & in return PPP & ANP unleashed terror in Karachi, first learn the facts & than start jumping.

About that video, i will only say that why you guys forget Zulfiqar Mirza when he said that he will separate Sindh from Pakistan after BB death, what about ANP whose leader portraits photos of Bacha Khan who strictly opposed Pakistan & called Jinnah a wolf. Why love to pick out only one?

No chill, PPP, ANP etc are also the bad guys, a lot of credit for the **** happening today goes to them definitely. There's only one neutral/non corrupt/non-biased part out there, and that's PTI. The rest are sinister in their own ways, and MQM isn't exactly an angel as it seems you're trying to describe them to me.

Pakistan should have 20 provinces based on no language

Based on population !!! Their budget should be reflective of the amount of funds they pay in taxes

;)

Weak provinces should be given less taxation rates so they can create new businesses and pay more taxes in long run ;)

We do however need to integrate Afghania province into Pakistan as soon as possible

There should be about 10-14 provinces in Pak, and ideally not based on race/history/language/ethnicity etc.. We should break all the current ones to do this.
The Swiss model is just perfect for this. There's 4 main ethnic/linguistic groups within Switzerland but up to 26 "cantons", and none are really entirely for/of one ethnic/linguistic group.

What exactly is not true? are they not still called Mohajirs (migrants)? Refresh my knowledge if I am wrong.

There's nothing wrong with being called a Muhajir although I prefer being called a urdu speaker but there are Muhajirs who are also Bihari and Gujrati/Memon and it's not right to exclude them so Muhajir is the term to group us altogether which seems right. But what I don't like being called is a Hindustani,Panah geer, bhooka nanga, RAW Agent etc which many Pakistanis refer to my people as.

As for a Muhajir province I am actually against it as well since I don't believe in ethnic based provinces (even though every province in Pakistan is based on ethnic lines) but nevertheless Karachi should gain freedom from the clutches of Sindh. These Sindhi feudal scumbags view Karachi as a goldmine for their revenues, they steal the money of Karachiites and use it for themselves. There's a reason why Karachi and Hyderabad saw massive development under MQM's leadership. One day hopefully Karachi will become a self governing province.

Swiss democracy is one of my favourite democratic model too

Yeah, maybe not just Karachi, but all cities, say, exceeding a population of 2m, should gain "special city" status, which would basically be autonomous cities independent from the provinces they are in, or maybe have a province-like status.
But then again, for that to happen, the current provinces must be dissolved first...otherwise its the same old story..

well I will not go for, if there should be any province for Mohajir or not but I agree there should be more province and Districts in Pakistan.
Example of Chattishgarh in India when CG was carved out of Madhya pradesh it had only 9 Districts but after 10 years it has 26 districts( thanks to BJP govt ). There are more employment opportunities in separate District HQ, Court, tehsil and every dept that a District have. Its easy and efficient also to implement any new rule or law in a smaller Place.

Yeah =P but unlike Pakistan which came into being in 1947, Switzerland has existed for several centuries. The people have long dropped their ethnic prides and mostly think on lines of what's going to be good for the country and everyone and not what's going to safeguard their ethnic rights. That is why their "democracy" enjoys a high status around the world

For this issue, consider this - people migrated from Pakistan to India as well but they were never named a different group. No body cares where they moved from we consider them Indians and that is all about it but they themselves to identify with their roots call themselves Sindhi, Balochi etc etc and we are fine with that too. Not a big issue.

I wonder why exactly you need to classify them as some group? If they wish to identity themselves as Bihari, Urdu speaking or what ever so be it it will be their choice.. They are not some different breed of people that you guys feel so strongly a need to differentiate them from you. Also you are not going to call some one by his ethnicity like "Oye Punjabi sun" or "Oye Mohajir sun"? right?? Problem is you guys are overly obsessed with race/ethnicity thingy and you know what, the solution to all your major problem is as simple as just dropping this obsession..

That's gross for a person who calls himself Pakistani!! Now I get it why all the Raw agents in Pakistan are caught in Karachi. don't mind, just jking..

No political party will dare do this it will split their vote bank wide open , Fuedals will be the biggest loosers which directly threatsthe pakistans politics like our provinces it is divided into different ethinicities .. read news sindhi nationalists have raised up their sindhudesh campaign , similar groups will rise in punjab , kpk and baluchistan any way has gone too far out too control. Administrative sounds good but its impossible to implement due to above reasons ... too many nationalist groups becuase of the quota system their is strong presence of nationalist in all sorts of law enforcement... it can incite serious troubles for the country
