MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan said on Wednesday that war is not an option and Narendra Modi’s threats of using ‘mother of all nuclear bombs’ to annihilate Pakistan is the most impulsive and reckless statement to be ever made by a person heading a nuclear nation.

The state president made these remarks while interacting with the participants of the International Workshop on Leadership and Security, organised by the National Defence University on Wednesday.

Business executives, parliamentarians, diplomats, government officials and representatives of the global civil society and media — both from abroad and Pakistan are attending the training.

The foreign delegation, led by Institute for Strategic Studies, Research and Analysis (ISSRA) DG Major General Asif Ali, included participants from the United Kingdom, United States, Russia, New Zealand, Brazil, Kenya, Malaysia, Ghana, Sri Lanka, UAE and Hong Kong.

Welcoming the participants to Azad Jammu and Kashmir, President Masood said despite the small size of the territory, AJK stores huge potential for growth and development.

“Government is focusing on three main goals — intensifying support to Kashmiris for attaining their right to self-determination; promoting good governance through accountability, rule of law and transparency; and sustainable economic development,” he said, adding that Azad Kashmir is trying to promote tourism, universal access to health, industry and education.

While comparing the state of freedom in AJK, where there are no concertina wires, no barricades, and no armed personnel roaming the streets and no instances of torture or rape being used as tools to terrorise the populace, with Indian Occupied Jammu and Kahsmir (IOJ&K), the president said that Indian troops have been deployed in the occupied territory, where Kashmiris have been imprisoned in their own homes as they face foreign occupation, alien domination and colonial rule.

“After the steps taken on August 5, the Kashmiri people have been subjected to inhumane conditions where young boys have been abducted and sent to the most notorious prison houses of northern India,” he said, regretting that The National Federation of Indian Women has confirmed that 13,000 boys have been abducted since the heinous clampdown.

Informing the audience that according to the ten stages of genocide defined by US-based Genocide Watch, Kashmir has now entered into stage 8, AJK president said: “Women are being molested and raped. Their bodies are being fetishised and objectified by the followers of the extremist Hindutva policy”.

While warning New Delhi from any engagement between India and Pakistan even at a small scale can lead to a nuclear war, the president said that the war will have far-reaching global consequences that include massive refugee outflows, major climatic and health impacts, food scarcity and ultimately a global economic recession.

President Masood invites UN chief Antonio Guterres to visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Recalling the statement made by UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres during his recent visit to Pakistan, the president said that the UN chief had demanded that the people of IOJ&K may also be allowed to enjoy the civil liberties and fundamental rights enjoyed by the people of AJK. “This statement proves that the situation across the Line of Control (LoC) remains highly concerning and precarious,” he added.

India, over the past seven decades, he said, has claimed IOJ&K as their territory but the alienation has only increased over the years.

“Ultimately, it is the people of this territory who will decide their political future. This is a right recognised by the UN Security Council in its resolutions on Kashmir in which they have clearly identified Kashmiris as the third party to the dispute,” Masood emphasised, adding that this is not a border dispute but rather a fight between humanity and inhumanity.

“World powers that remain tight-lipped have to take sides and cannot continue to sit on the fence,” he said. The AJK president thanked the international media for bringing forward a factual narrative on Kashmir and also the world parliaments and the US Congress for debating on the issue of Kashmir.

Responding to questions from the participant, the president said that US President Trump’s offers of mediation have not been heeded to by India as they falsely claim the territory an integral part of the union.

“As one of the most influential players in the international sphere, the US should help the oppressed people of IOJ&K by not siding with India when it comes to the brutalisation of Kashmiris, nor look at the Kashmir dispute through the prism of its economic interests with India.”

Commenting on the role of the diaspora community, the president said that Kashmiris residing in the UK, Europe and the US are actively reaching out to their lawmakers, representatives, community leaders and media. They, he added, have helped raise the profile of the Kashmir issue.

In his concluding remarks, President Masood said that the people of IOJ&K will attain freedom against all odds.

“People of IOJ&K are demanding a just resolution of the dispute in accordance with the UNSC resolutions and wish to ascertain their free political will,” he underscored, thanking the National Defence University for facilitating such a high-level delegation to visit AJK and see for themselves the fundamental rights and civil liberties being enjoyed by the people in the liberated territory.

Brothers in Arm bro, we all ready to take down this dirty Indians.

Do you think Pakistan further evolved its nuclear weapon designs from from the 1st gen ones tested in the late 90's..?

I understand tritium was used as a booster, but the results were much to be desired. We will not be able to properly fulfil the cremation wish's of Modi, with the baby ones we tested about 2 decades ago. We need 150+ thermonuclear ones alone, plus with the ever changing dynamics i.e. cold start doctorine, Multi level air defences.. which our answer is Nasr, and Ababeel respectively, but we only have a finite amount of stockpile, whilst theirs is liberaly growing.. It seems the neo colonial powers aren't shying away appeasing the trigger happy insane irrational contispated monkey next door, whether it be fulfilling his long War wishlist and/or the downplaying of Kashmir by 'friends' or foe alike.. who clearly disregarded our RED LINE we may end up with a nuclear exchange.. but if we do then we have to ensure it would be truly MAD.

Do you HONESTLY believe Pakistan hasn't upgraded or increased the yields of our nukes????........................... You do realise that if ANY of what you said above was true, the little weiner men would have attacked us by now, considering the fact that they are more than 7x bigger than us and have the full backing of the West and Russia........:azn:

I don't know what to believe, but if we look back at our 'rambunctious' days.. during our steadfast resolve to aquire the ultimate defence and offence capabilities.. at any given cost, yet we did it so smugly not faltering from our vision, we leveraged all possible avenues availiable to us e.g. with clever political maneuvering using the fog from the 'cold war' to audaciously shop for parts in the west as if it was a open mall, and forging closer alliances with likeminded muslim countries, who ended up picking up our expensive tab.. now those were the days.. Reportedly we had a working device by 1983 (post cold test), or prior (1978) according to Benazir's account if she is to be believed, the actual project started in 1974, hence it nominally took between 4 - 9 years. Then project 706 was supposedly disbanded, so taking this to account the time frame between this disbandment and testing is between 15-20 years respectively, which accedes the development time two folds. You would logically think during this period there was going to be further refinement, and come May 1998 when we had only one opportunity to test them either we buckled due to presure to test a lower yield or the tests did not meet our expectations, the latter may hold some truth since we did use a booster, or it may have been used to spare invaluable stockpiles.

Whichever way you look at it both countries tests were considered on the lower end on par with the ones tested on Japan during WW2, this is why, even today the estimated potential death toll is just over 100 million combined for both sides by the wide academic community, instead of 1 billion plus. Furthermore unlike before there is now also a 'Joker card' or a uncertain variable if you will, who is hell bent on causing armageddon to fulfill his vedic prophecies; they actually believe that they can absorb and/or block all our nuclear attacks (even if they lose a 'few' citie's its a 'small price to pay'). Pakistan is not a suicidal state, it was made for the sole purpose of offering muslims a refuge from right wing Hindu Nationalist threat our forefather envisioned post British Raj, May Allah have Mercy on his soul; now if war is pushed on us we will not have a choice, Nasr and Ababeel Misiles were born out of necessities than a luxury, we are dangerously going up the esclation ladder, and its only a matter of time before the gennie escapes from the bottle, I feel it's not a question of 'IF' anymore.

In the past the International community would intervene (most predominantly the US as a 'power broker'), post 26 feb of last year and Kashmirs desecration, the lack of involvement shown for the appeasment of India, since it is seen as the torch bearer for the new crusade against the inevitable rise of the dragon, for which Napolean forewarned them about, this puts Pakistan in an akward position, along with the treachery of it's so called allies (GCC) it once counted on, whom now are shamefuly silent, even for Jerusalem, which is being 'legitimized' solely for Israel by the USA; a clear violation for all muslims; and nothing short of declaring war on Islam, redlines are openly being crossed, yet the Muslim nations have nothing to show for it, they are just bickering amongst themselves.

I think the last straw for Pakistan before opting for MAD, is going to be to test a thermonuclear device either in the Indian Ocean, or potentially space, as a 'warning shot' for both India, to show them we have the means to fulfill their cremation wishes, and for the 'International Community' to act now or enjoy the fallout, But this is assuming if Pakistan has such a device, knowing the incompetence of our deep state in the past, I cannot rule this out.

In all honesty, the West is too intelligent and shrewd enough to know that inferior, low IQ indians can NEVER EVER take on or pose a threat to China. That was ACTUALLY proven on 27/02/2019...........:azn:

Pakistan has had Thermonuclear capability since at least early 2011:
