Modi's party begging for positive coverage from Washington Post

Modi-fied India is on right track , we need to appreciate and support it :)
That is what happens when a guy without a wife is made the ruler of the country. He starts considering the country as his wife. We tried it with Zardari and got banged pretty bad.

. .
Well...India do not need Amazon or Walmart to replace Indian small shop owners..So In long run Amazon will fail in India too...Walmart is surviving as it has tie over with Flipkart../
If Amazon is serious about having a presence in India...THEY WILL NOT FAIL. Amazon is one of the biggest companies in the world...they can easily outcompete any local business in India. They can even use underhanded tactics like selling at a loss just so local businesses wouldn't be able to compete and will go bust. Long story short...IF they want to have a presence somewhere they have the means to do so...
...the only hurdle can be the local laws(to protect local businesses)...even those can be changed in a country like India where politicians are easily bought and sold.

Indian politicians can be bought and sold only when it is in their favour. You cannot attack them through washington post and yet expect they could be bought for few dollars. INDIA politicians are mostly billionaires themselves.

You really think Amazon will fail? That will be a first then.

Ofcourse. Reliance is coming up with their own portal soon. Amazon is fighting back through washington post because India mandated that the data servers must be in geographical India.

Here is the picture WP should put to show the positive side of Modi government ...

My post was with reference to getting a market share in Indian retail market....India has lot of restriction unlike US where Amazon and Walmart can import everything from China. But in India, our market is very much restrictive for retail goods unlike US.

Is that the reason - someone who not just bang but also give divorce...

People don't know how these MAMMOTH VIDESHI COMPANIES hurt the economy... Ambani and Adani are at least Indian... Only Indian company I know is Patanjali, working for uplifting of locals...

Lol if that's how politics worked then everything would be all cut and dry...all black and white. However that's not how things work in politics...words mean nothing...only money talks. Do u not remember how the US viewed India during the cold war? They threatened India with military action...Nixon referred to Indira Gandhi as an "old witch". Look at all the Indian politicians and leaders kissing Trump's *** now.

Only honorable men stand their ground and stick to their principles and 99% of the politicians in the subcontinent lack that honor. So yes...if Amazon did throw money at Indian politicians they will be all over it like flies on shit. As for their benefit...yes they will personally benefit from that money...and that's all what they care about. They would not even pause to think how it may not be beneficial to their country. If by any chance some of them happen to have personal businesses that will be effected...I can see them not being on board...but u don't need to buy ALL of them...u just need to buy enough of them to pass certain laws.

Wake up and smell the coffee...if US is being run by these giant corporations(lobbies, politicians getting tons of money, laws passed to favor them with things like tax evasion) then India stands no chance. US has way more accountability for its leaders and laws that are strictly enforced...and yet these corporations make a joke out of the system...
...just Google how much federal tax Amazon paid in 2018. Hint...it's zero...and Amazon is among the top 5 biggest companies on Earth. So again IF Amazon really wanted to make a foothold in India...it would succeed.

Please, you are delusional. Wait till Reliance (helped by modi) take up modern retail. They'll wipe floor with Amazon. All you have to do is wait and watch. Just the way they dealt with vodafone with their JIO services.

Lmao u don't know how the corporate world works son. Vodafone's example that u r using is laughable...Vodafone is nothing compared to Amazon. Amazon has dominated every company so far...everywhere. They just haven't made a serious push into India...if they did...they will succeed...period.
