Modi offers Gujarat for R&D of military equipment

Has anyone till now made offer like this for DRDO or armed forces???

Others just say we want indigenous defence machines ,but this guy(CM of a state) is ready to offer land for indigenous land for research n development facilities...
Wat if he becomes PM???

i hope Modi sets up separate policies to support defence companies in Gujarat because overall India doesnot have a favorable policy for flourishing of defence companies except if offset policy is implemented properly. Indian private defence companies cannot produce any indigenously product in the current framework.

Not really.If you look at the statistics,The majority of defence technicians and scientists are from Southern India.Tamil Nadu or Karnataka can stake a far higher claim for being the defence hubs of India.Gujarat can't claim squat in that department just because Tata decided to build Nanos there or Reliance has to be there on compulsions of the basins being located in Gujarat.

If there was some semblance of fact in the above claimed rhetoric,I would support the same.That just isn't the case and least of all to do with liking or disliking Modi bro!!!

Who's talked about historical background here? I am talking about "offers" the state for R&D. Gujarat claims the credit of running 15% of this country alone and the only state comparable to Guangdong of China. Talk about rest of the states. Why are you digressing from the main theme? It is about what Modi can do for change. He's done it in non-defense related areas. Defense is a far more critical area. Do you think he can't do that?

Nice way to actually hide behind "statistics" and shoot pointers at him. Just accept it; you can't digest him like the rest of the kind.

Plz Advani sucks and is no good......he lacks complete vision....if I have to vote for the BJP to change INdia for the good......my vote will only go to Modi and Kumar combo....let's change India completely and show the f -king world what India is truly capable of.....we need capable leaders in all aspects. I love MMS but he is not free to run the gov;t. He is held down by numerous factors....and he doesn;t have the skill to weave thru Indian politics. I don;t even mind MMS with Modi....but Modi is the only one who make India strong in terms of military which at this perilous time is much needed.

Defence sector is no different. Only some favorable industrial policies and our private defence companies can gain alot. i think Modi can do it, only problem is customer (indian armed forces and MOD) but If indian forces or MOD is not interested they can sell abroad.

The people in Defence are from Tamilnadu are not due to TN govt policy(Am from Tamilnadu). There was no compulsion for TATA nano to build in Gujrat, it was WB loss and till last moment Maharastra and Karnataka were offering land to TATA but they chose Gujarat.
Why People dont accept simple fact " Modi Rocks". (Thanks to him on offering Surplus power supply to TN)

now he became all time hero for the Bihars alot thing are happening in Bihar. Due to better law and order situation in Bihar all the Bihari migrant workers in Punjab,chandigarh Haryana are going back and the industries in Punjab and Haryana are are suffering from labour shortage.
