Ahmedabad: After European Union ended over a decade-long boycott of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, lawmakers from the region have invited him to attend the European Parliament in Brussels in November, according to a post on his blog.

"The lawmakers invited Modi to attend the European Parliament in Brussels in November this year. The Parliament will be attended by representatives of over 27 nations. There is also an invitation to attend the European Business Meet in Brussels later this year," Modi's blog said.

The Chief Minister yesterday had an online interaction with the European lawmakers who were attending the 10th corporate culture and spirituality India conference in Bangalore, according to the blog post.

The lawmakers appreciated Gujarat's development and congratulated Modi for making the state vibrant.

According to the post, during the interaction, Modi highlighted various initiatives taken by the Gujarat government for environment protection. He told them that Gujarat is the first state in India and among the four states in the world to have a separate department on climate change.

Briefing the lawmakers about Gujarat's advances in solar energy, Modi told them about Asia's largest solar park in Charanka in Patan district and about state government's roof-top solar policy.

The post also spoke of Gujarat's work in other forms of renewable energy, including wind energy.

Even EU knows Modi will become the Prime Minister come 2014, and its important to make good relations with him for billion dollars contracts and investment.

Here's the script (my expectation how will it play out)...

- Modi comes to power in 2014
- Stock markets will jump in elation
- He will open micro-interventions at ground level, economic activity will pick up,
- He will open macro projects around ports, defence, transportation and storage and you will see a momentum shift in economy
- He will engage with China and will speak economics of mutual benefit (and borders will stay calm)
- He will engage with Pakistan on trade (Modi knows only trade of mutual beneficial nature will normalize)
- Education, Energy, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, AGRICULTURE and DEFENCE investments will see a dramatic growth

Difficult stuff that he'll pull off (I hope him to)
- Common civil marriage law
- Abolish article 370 (I'd love to see that when I can have a Tambi living next to my ancestral home in J&K, just like I did in Chennai)
- America will be engaged on 'equal terms', obviously raising heckles and fits and then they will eventuall understand
- A massive anti-corruption drive will see the lobbies of IAS, IRS and IPS break and quiver!
- Increase the share of Manufacturing and improve productivity of agriculture (both of which have been stagnant for a decade)
- A lot of con-gress and BSP and SP folks' accounts in Schwiez, Caymann, and other havens will be exposed

- Last, but not the least, he'll be back with ABSOLUTE MAJORITY in 2019!

I dont want to see him as our PM and BJP allies wont let him become one. And he does not have enough support within BJP. Both RSS and VHP are against him, almost openly.

Thats true...Although I would love to see him...Unfrtunately...once he declared as PM candidate,then all the Muslim and Psuedo Secular votes will go to Congi party....And 2nd most imp factor is the middle class do not vote..

Hence if Modi wants to become a PM....He would have to do some kind of gimmick like going to Dalit house and taking food...Attending Id Functions like Congi and other pseudo secular party do....This is the reality of India...It goes by gimick and show off that leader care for poor people...

Not really. RSS and VHP have certain people who are against him. Nitish Kumar has indirectly softened up his stance. Akali dal/ Shiv sena/ AIADMK (if they are needed) have good relations with Modi.

Though I am not one of his fans and I do believe that he must once come out and apologize that the carnage that happened under his administration (as the head of administration, it was also a failure on his part)...

But, mate, I would still say (in the spirit of a speech he made a few days back) that this is a story of 'half glass full and the remaining half glass has to be filled'... I just adore his positive energy and just for that, I believe he will roar to power.

Congress and left and the pimps in the middle will try to stop his roller coaster, but I do believe that the youth and my generation (who're arguably now moving into not so young category) of my country (with the current frustration) will bring him to power... We actually don't have any other option...! He has to come and may be, let us start from just ensuring that at least the right thinking people caste their ballot... Rest, destiny will follow its course!
