If you have to go back nine years to find a lie told by a nation's leaders (and I don't even admit to that) then Americans are truth-tellers compared to just about anyone else you can name, is that not so?
No there are lots of American lies but for some reason that one sticks in my mind as it was the start of a disproportionate unjustified attack on Muslim lands under the guise of wot. Mind you I should say war on terror in case some some think to call it a waste of time.
I must say that America often packages its lies as if it was a cheap salesman:
These anti-Syria killer thugs are packaged as "innocent peaceful protesters".
The riots and or unrest in UK and America created not by protesters but criminal and undesirables
Assad's campaign to protect the nation by eradicating these thugs is packaged as "killing his own people".
The disproportionate prison sentence in UK for protesters is necessary to teach criminals a lesson
The death and destruction America spawned in Iraq is packaged as "bringing a better life to the Iraqi people".
The 9-11 attack by Saudi Arabians is packaged a "Taliban terrorist attack".
Even George Bush was successfully packaged as "presidential" and sold to the American people.
And, of course, America has packaged herself as the "Champion of Human Rights".
Oh and last year when Osama was killed the White office turned out several versions of the truth within 48 hours. He was armed-no he wasnt, he used his wife as cover-no he didnt etc.
Back to topic Asim tell me how does it feel agreeing with Solomon on anything. I would gracefully accept that maybe I had erred if Solomon supported my position on the ISI
Oh btw the mitigation that others lie more is no defense
