Mingora Suicide Blast- 13/03/2010

MINGORA: A suicide explosion has occurred outside district court located on a main road of Gulkada area of Mingora tehsil when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden car into a checkpost of security force, killing at least five persons and injuring another 13, Geo news reported.

The checkpost has caught fire after explosion meanwhile, the blazes and smoke are emitting from the area. Rescue efforts are underway.

According to police sources, more deaths have been feared in explosion while security personnel have arrived on blast site and imposed curfew on the road.

The entire area has been cordoned off and all the shops and markets located on the road have been closed down, witnesses said.

Injured persons are being shifted to District Headquarter Hospital for medical attainment.

Army should move civilians away from them as much as posible plus they should use APC for Gaurd duty on the raods and at entrances.

They don't have 3000 suicide bombers sitting around, and even if they did, Azam Tariq would not have knowledge of them or control over them - not since the TTP was routed in Swat, Bajaur, and SW.

However their explosives experts and suicide bombing trainers have likely dispersed to various other areas, and the collaboration between the TTP and other groups over the years has meant a transfer of that expertise, much like Al Qaeda transferred it to the TTP.

Groups like the LeJ that have a significant presence in Punjab (whose leader was killed in a drone strike) are now adopting TTP/Al Qaeda tactics through their collaboration with the above two.

There is likely expertise being shared between them and possibly the same networks used to obtain explosives and other weapons/equipment.

SWAT: At least ten people were killed and twelve others injured in a suicide blast at a check post in Mingora on Saturday, officials said.


The targeted check post is located near the Circuit house in Mingora, reports DawnNews.

in past few weeks terrorists had been taking a real thrashing , loosing leaders and large number of low level cadre now they will resort to these low life tactics.

Pakistan has to fight this war on multiple fronts , it has to fight this war with 'ally' and 'adversary' alike.

Indeed this is 4th gneration warfare
