No wonder then, for example, most Pakistanis still don’t have a clue about what the country’s only Nobel Prize winning scientist, Dr Abdus Salam, got the award for, but many are quick to quote from books written by Harun Yahya and some others, explaining how things like the Big Bang and others are endorsed in the Holy book.

Dr Abdus Salam would take huge offense to the last statement because he attributed his own Nobel Prize winning theory to the Quran. He repeated the following verse when he received his Noble Prize:

Thou seest not, in the creation of the All-merciful any imperfection, Return thy gaze, seest thou any fissure. Then Return thy gaze, again and again. Thy gaze, Comes back to thee dazzled, aweary.

clarifying that

This, in effect, is the faith of all physicists; the deeper we seek, the more is our wonder excited, the more is the dazzlement for our gaze.

Unfortunately the bigots and bastards of this country would rather revel in glory with ***** like Qadri then honor the greatest mind Pakistan produced.

With the way things are going, do not expect another Dr Salam to rise up and take the mantle absolute genius.

Seriously grow up

Quran doesn't prohibits you from getting the knowledge about things you don't know.It showed us the ways to new worlds,not just only the mere world we are living into.
You are shortsighted here,Next time whenever you get a chance to read this Holy Book just try to comprehend the basic concept rather bringing such childish comments.
Quran discovered that you don't need to worship stones.
It discovered your way towards open mindedness.
It discovered that the good deeds you do here are not wasted and you'll get a reward of it hereafter when you'll leave this world.
Quran did told you about the Pharaoh's body didn't it? And you discovered it recently in the last century.
It told you about fingerprints .......the idea of which never existed before Quran.
It tells you the fact for you that you are not an animal or evolved from those creatures.
It talks about human life from conception to death in great details.
It gave you the idea of raising the dead.....it talks about evidence that every act of violence leaves it's mark there and you can reach the criminal through that evidence the things that forensic science uses now a days.
Quran has endless scientific facts,off which none of them could be proved wrong authoritatively.It full of discoveries but you need to a have a mind at suitable wavelength to catch those.

I pity you on such thinking. Quran is not sent to assist you in making of luxurious needs. It is sent to us to give a hint of the "bigger picture" which everyone like you fails to see or comprehend. "There are hints for intellectuals" the Quran says.
