Militants today attacked a BSF camp in Karnah area of Kupwara district, injuring three security personnel and triggering a gunfight, police said.

The camp, in Nachin village, targeted by the militants houses an ammunition depot, a police official said.

He said three BSF personnel were injured in the initial exchange of fire and were being airlifted to Army's base hospital in Srinagar for treatment.

As the gunfight was on, reinforcements were rushed to neutralise the militants, the official.

. .
Hilarious fail by militants as they fail to even enter the camp.
Alert sentries repelled them.
3 BSF personnel and a porter sustained moderator injuries and have been airlifted to Srinagar for treatment.

All militants(2-3) in number are trapped in a nearby forest.
This tactic is called, Bleed to death. Injured soldiers cost lot more than dead ones, for the rest of their lives. Launching search operation again and again for 2 or 3 militant also takes physical and mental toll on soldiers and military resources.

LMAO.
We have like 600,000 personnel in Kashmir, 3 injured personnel is like a drop of flea.

3x365 = 1095. That's a whole freaking Battalion going down per year.

No even counting the economic cost on country for the rest of their life and on their family

That is during an all out War, not during guerrilla warfare or insurgency.

. . .
Factor in cost of deployment, cost of treatments, subsidies kashmir is a real money pit for India whilst millions suffer from abject poverty

ROFL
Last year security forces including police and militia sustained only a total of 39 fatalities in Kashmir.
This year it is so far only 34.
This a mere drop in the ocean for India.

16 years back in 2000, India sustained 614 fatalities but still it couldn't affect Indian presence in J&K even a bit as we killed over 2500 militants that year

If you notice the trend, attacks are steadily increasing from almost none. Which means there is a change in Pakistan policy again. 90's was epic Hell for Indian troops. Than comes WoT and change in policy. Seems like another shift in Pakistanis policy. Thanks to modi G big mouth.

You expect militants to be successful everyday for the whole year forever?

We are a BRIC nation we can maintain meager costs, unlike some countries we don't consider caring for our soldiers and small events like these a burden on our economy.

Yes but you have an entire state in chaos and under curfew

With a new generation deeply resentful of indian occupation

When the prevailing propaganda from india was supposed to be about Kashmir being calm and moving on
