Why is Comrade Xi so sensitive about Winnie the Pooh?

But why is Comrade Xi not fine with it? We are curious.
I didn't talk to Xi, so I don't know he cares or not, or his colleagues care but he doesn't. but it is still a very childish behavoir, how old are you? does this childplay match your mental age?

Censoring Winnie the Pooh just made it even worse lol ... not a good idea. Just gives more attention to the Winnie comparison.

The issue is not mocking a leader but the response from the leader.

Would Trump -- if given the power -- do something about all the negative cartoons about him? Absolutely. Trump's first target would be Garry Trudeau whose Doonesbury portrayal of Trump is a national treasure. Americans called Bill Clinton 'rapist' and 'murderer', and if given the power, Clinton would definitely punish people who called him so. Even the famously calm Obama have been known to be thin skinned about many things as admitted by his closest advisor Valerie Jarrett.

But American presidents have no power to do anything regarding negative free speech leveled at them and that is why Pompeo trolled Xi. Calling Pompeo 'childish' misses the greater point.

I didn't talk to Xi, so I don't know he cares or not, or his colleagues care but he doesn't. but it is still a very childish behavoir, how old are you? does this childplay match your mental age?
How old am I? I thought my old fart status is well known on this forum. I am 57. Probably old enough to be your father.

there is an old saying, do not feed the troll, because then he will know that what he is saying is triggering you, you would expect Xi to know that but apparently not.

banning Winnie the Pooh because of some meme was quite stupid to put it mildly, because when he did that he practicaly told all his enemies "I felt insulted enough by this cartoon that I had to ban it".

China bans Winnie the Pooh film after comparisons to President Xi
It started when Xi visited the US in 2013, and an image of Xi and then president Barack Obama walking together spurred comparisons to Winnie – a portly Xi – walking with Tigger, a lanky Obama.

Xi was again compared to the fictional bear in 2014 during a meeting with Japan’s prime minister, Shinzo Abe, who took on the part of the pessimistic, gloomy donkey, Eeyore.

both Obama & Abe were compared to cartoons yet none of them started banning these characters, and it wasn't just because of democracy or whatever but mainly because if Abe & Obama did that then all their enemies would think they are thin skinned leaders who got insulted by memes.

In individual capacity or at media level, its ok. But for a office holder to say such non sense only make him and his country look weak. Its seems only slandering is the option left now for yanks.

We have a group of sulking lot headed by yanks of which India is an active member.

Anyway it's super childish, how can a grown up man resort to this child play out of spite, where is basical adult intelligence?

@PeacefulWar @beijingwalker
was this not banned?

this is what they talk about when they say the film was banned.

indeed it is weak from Pompeo's side to have nothing except insults to fight Xi with, but nonetheless banning a movie was wrong from Xi's part.
