Mid-term polls only solution to current crisis: Rana Sanaullah
Wednesday, 13 Oct, 2010
LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday said the only solution to the current crisis is mid-term elections.
"Pakistan's welfare is more important to the PML-N than the current government's completion of the five-year-term," he told media representatives outside the Punjab Assembly.
Sanaullah said the biggest threat that Pakistan currently faces is that of corruption and the most serious corruption allegations have been levelled against the President and several parliamentarians.
"If corruption is not checked and stopped, democracy can also be jeopardised in the process," he said.
He further said that the PML-N was opposing the appointment of Deedar Hussain Shah on principles and that the "Pakistan People's Party's dual policies were endangering the democratic process". DawnNews
