Michael Jackson songs BANNED by BBC radio ahead of sex claim doc

MICHAEL Jackson’s songs have been dropped from BBC Radio 2 playlists amid sex abuse claims ahead of the release of Leaving Neverland.
The King of Pop’s reputation is under renewed scrutiny ahead of the release of the documentary which details child sex abuse claims by James Safechuck and Wade Robson.
The decision to ban the pop star songs from the leading station was reportedly made last week.
The last time a solo Jackson track was played on Radio 2 was Saturday, February 24, The Times reports.
BBC bosses said: “We consider each piece of music on its own merits and decisions what we play on different network are always made with relevant audiences and context in mind.”
The two-part documentary containing the allegations will air on HBO and Channel 4 this week.
Robson and Safechuck say Jackson groomed and sexually assaulted them aged 7 and ten.
The pair have brought civil lawsuits against Jackson’s estate following his death, but they were thrown out by a judge in 2017, ruling the estate could not be held liable for the singer’s actions.
Oprah Winfrey has recorded an interview with the two alleged victims and the documentary’s director Dan Reed, to be broadcast on Monday.
The BBC has now announced they have commissioned another documentary on the star, to be called Michael Jackson: The Rise and Fall.
The Jackson estate hit back, saying: “[Safechuck and Robson] have provided no independent evidence and absolutely no proof in support of their accusations.”
