a program similar to JF 17 for helicopter manufacturing or co production or assembling of Chinese Z 18 and Z 20 will be better in the longer run. Otherwise, we may simply buy chinese helos. For the time being existing MI 17s may be upgraded and refurbished from russians and if chinese have better maintenance/repair facilities for their MI 17s fleet then we may send our MI 17s to China for refurbishment etc.

Yes. Helicopters do crash. You crashed so many Mi-17s. Infact you killed foreign ambassadors & their wives in helicopter crashes.

That does not mean HAL Dhruv will not kick Pakistani asses in future. It is specially made for that purpose.
