MehrGarh is the oldest settlement found in South Asia with a working self sufficient economy but it does not qualify to be labelled as a 'civilization'. It is however preliminary stage of Indus Valley civilization. Very interesting find indeed especially because different time periods are preserved here which show how our ancestors were evolving with time in this area. It is also a place where oldest ever proof of dental drilling for tooth cavity has been found.

Picture and electron microscopic image of dentistry performed at Mehrgarh. Clearly shows drilling in tooth.
