Mexican musician appears to kill himself after MeToo claim

MEXICO CITY (AP) — The bass player for the Mexican rock band Botellita de Jerez published a letter saying he would kill himself “to leave the way clear” for his son after he was accused of assaulting a young woman.

The Mexico City prosecutors’ office said that while they could not confirm musician Armando Vega Gil had killed himself, a man’s body was found at a Mexico City home.

The body was to be identified by Vega Gil’s relatives.

The rock band’s Twitter account said “with grief we announce our colleague Armando Vega Gil died this morning.”

Vega Gil had denied an assault accusation made via Twitter under the hashtag #MeTooMusicosMexicanos.

But he said that “a terrible end is better than an endless terror.”

Its so heart breaking that in west if you are even accused of committing sexual assault or rape your life is finished , you will get on media , social media will pick up your story and people already start giving their judgement's over it, and in South Asia even if a Women is accused of been with a guy, her life is over .. She wont get complete her education , her parents don't trust her anymore , she wont get good marriage proposals etc

What is world come to its indeed shameful to see things like that and many innocents lives been destroyed .
