The mod alert is only for spam, rude posts, etc. but can it be used alerting mods to merge a thread?

I know it's not 911 but seems a good use of the tool. I've found a need now, nearly used it, and hesitated.

I'd encourage a re-look there, if possible.

it can be used for merging alerts, and has been before.

thanks for your concern!

Go for it - you can use it for any legitimate concern.

We'll charge you 2 rps if its for an illegitimate purpose ;).

Even more important would be to discourage members from opening threads on matters which are already under discussion.

A new member joins in and then starts creating threads without even thinking. That is waste of time and band width. Some thing needs to be done. I suggested soft bans but guess that has not been considered.

I'll start my day checking the exchange rates to make sure I can afford my mistakes.;)

Is the dollar worth a rupee yet?

Close I bet.:agree:

Hi,

Following is a classical example of starting several threads on essentially the same topic.

Munir started a thread on F-15 SE at 6:45 PM in Military Photos & Multimedia section

Gabbar started a thread on F-15 SE at 9:11 PM in Military & World Affairs Watch section

Mean-bird started a thread on F-15 SE at 11:17 PM in Military Aviation section

Please, browse through the various sections before starting the new threads.

Mods, please merge the threads or delete the two recent ones.
