how would Bengal response if China raise an issue to dam Brahmaputra river?

The Chinese government has no plan to build a dam on the the Yarlung Zangbo River (the China part of the Brahmaputra) to divert water to the Yellow River.it's some irrigationists argue about this plan.but Chinese government think it cost too much, uncertain to environment influence, and hard to make neighbor country accepte it.

but if it is ture, what would Bengalese people think about it when Chinese diplomat bring the plan to Bengal for conversation.

Bangladesh will take it negatively. We have too much problem with India regarding water sharing and don't want any new issues in that subject. As far as I remembered, India approached Bangladesh to jointly protest this Chinese move.
Not sure how much water China will divert and its way upstream for Bangladesh. There might be more water source for Bhramaputra in Himalaya before it flows to Bangladesh.

Well, Ganges sharing were resolved, even BD does not get all its share of water as it was outlined on that accord. Still something is better than nothing.
We have around 54 common rivers with India. Most of the water in those rivers are not used in Bangladesh for any purposes as like Ganges. But lack of water creates a huge ecological disaster in Bangladesh. Bangladesh likes to have regular talk with India but India always have a cold feet on this issue and very reluctant. Also they try to overlook the environmental aspect of the issue rather, telling us that we have too much water and India has none :blah::blah::blah::blah:
