My relative went to Australia and came back 3 years later, to stay Australia is a rubbish place to live, where people dont like to buy luxory items and are happy living with basics etc.

In Australia, people hunt for they food.

If your a business man, dealing in cars, posh apartments etc, Australia is not the place to do business in. Hence the big country full of natural resources is lacking economic growth such as other nations.

The ranking is based on political and social stability, crime rates, health care, diversity of cultural events, natural environment, education and infrastructure.

Not on how much "fun" or "cool" the city is.

Melbourne and most of the other Australian cities excel in all of those areas pointed out.

Got to admit the Aussie cities are world class, Melbourne is awesome, so much culture, Sydney is also up there and then you have Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
