The newer model has such better looks than the old concept, some angles on it were a little ugly.
Lets hope it performs well. Put the stig in it and send him round the top gear track.

. .
Even sports car has to face hell on Indian roads and its irregular idiotic speedbumps. It will be great if they market it in the west and gain some brand value.
Its looking great nevertheless.

Dhruv sTupid: Hey Guys got a great idea!
Sanity: What is it?
Dhruv sTupid: Let's make a supercar, witha super tag price.
Sanity: Interesting, but Why?
Dhruv sTupid: Bc ... Others are doing it.
Sanity: And?
Dhruv sTupid: And? to make A lot of Money!
Sanity:... So you want to make an eletric car, that you will sell only to few thousand guys in India and that's it?
Dhruv sTupid: Euh... YES!
Sanity: Euh... So Mister Intilligent... you will F*cking use a ton of investment to make a super pricy super car for few thousands wannabes who will use they daddy money to buy it? right?
Dhruv sTupid: Yes!

Sanity: And what about the other 1.2 Billions potential clients who may want a cheaper electric car?
Dhruv sTupid:...
Sanity:...
Dhruv sTupid: Euh... Euh... Euh... But it's Cool a supercar!!

This is the most silly post I have read all day on PDF. Every point of the market has different needs, nothing wrong in making a high end product. And sadly for you this is exactly how tech trickles down- an innovative product that paves the way for future/lower end products. Electric cars- especially high performance ones are no easy task to achieve- look at how many options there are on the international market today. This know how and capability will most likely benefit this company to sustain itself in the future, and stay ahead for a while. Ferrari, Lamborghini do very well selling a few thousand cars ACROSS THE PLANET each year. Smaller companies Pagani and Koenigsegg only sell/ produce cars in double digits each year. It has huge export potential if it stands up to performance it claims to have. This is a great feat albeit a private one, don't try and undermine it with your biased, illogical argument.
Can't wait for this to feature on the Grand Tour or the new Top Gear in the future.

This is the most "DELUSIONAL" post I have read all MY LIFE on PDF...
Comparing that thing with Ferrari and co... what a move... Anyway...

When you have an interesting investment like they do... to make a supercar instead of investing on a project like Average Eletrical car for a Potential 1.2Billion ppl ( and multi Billions revenues) just for the sake of "Innovation" or whatever... we call it a shitty investment in economy...

Remember one thing... Before Pricy /supercars appeared the average one were already on sell... It's not the way around. YOur supercar will be useless if infrastructure for Batteries or charging stations ar enot available... and it's by spreading "Average eletrical car " that you will get those infrastructures...

Never you asked yourself why Multibillions companies around the world , whatever it's USA /CHina EU are not doing Electrical supercar, only for test bed/prototypes or limited ones??? And why the only countries who are willing to do so are few ones in India and Iran??? simple... You are bad in Biz projections... and some of you want to show off the useless thing, instead of conquering a market... Period.

Have Fun

It is not a state investment genius- a private company. THEY DON'T HAVE TO CARE ABOUT THE MASSES.
When you claimed it going to sell only a couple of thousand - and it's not a sustainable model- I used other examples showcasing how a niche product doesn't require numbers to succeed- especially a high end one. That was the comparison- not in brand value, or performance.
To think that any such product in the modern times will not be a global one is foolish. I'm sure it wasn't designed to cater just to the Indian market. It wouldn't be a supercar then.
Your logic of cheaper cars come first is also bogus. Look at Tesla for example. A high end car paved the way for a whole brand, and downward expansion. Another example is Maserati.
The government doesn't need to step in and mass produce an electric car- like you keep pointing at. They will likely provide incentives to firms that want to produce electric car, or any cars in India for that matter.
Private firms will cater to the market if there is a need for it, not the other way round.
Tesla is launching it's product in the Indian market soon- ask them what their business strategy is when it comes to selling an electric car whose selling points include the availability of charging stations all around. GO FIGURE.
Also do more research about auto markets before making false statements like "Never you asked yourself why Multibillions companies around the world , whatever it's USA /CHina EU are not doing Electrical supercar" . Theres a plethora of cars and brands coming out within the high performance elec. category. ALL MAJOR MANUFACTURES have concepts in the category/upcoming cars in the high performance electric car bracket.
Don't make sweeping, false statements. Go do your research.
You played yourself boy.

Lol... When Tesla start to emerge in India and CLaim the whole market with their future "cheapest cars" don't come crying about " Why no one did it bf??" .

Look it's simple. YOu have a1.2 Bil potential customers... and you choose to adress yourself to few thousand IN INDIA ( yes only india... it's not for export , be sure about that) I CALL it stupid. bc those guys have the potential and the knowledge to make an everyday electrical car, who can be cheap and available to almost everyone, for a VIRGIN market... BUt choose instead to focus on Supercar... .

Those guys IMO are only "fans" who are doing it for "pleasure" or somthing in that area... I REALLY HOPE THEY ARE LIKE THAT!! bc if not then... Well... ...

FYI: Tesla first car ( who was a sport car and not a supercar) did not sell... It's only when Elon took it under his wing with HIS " ALMOST" average car that TESLA became what we know today...
And let's be Honest... a rich one will mostly choose a supercar with an Engine than an electrical motor... so WhenI say few Thousand customers, I was optimistic... . EVen in The US they don't sell electrical supercar well... look at the i8...

Show me all the facts you claim. FALSE statement after FALSE statement.
Telsa is entering India. The first car they are going to bring to India is the Model 3 and by no means will it be a cheap car. Go check your facts.
Like I said- and will repeat again - A NICHE PRODUCT NEED NOT SELL IN NUMBERS TO BE SUCCESSFUL , ESPECIALLY IF IT'S HIGH END. A BASIC BUSINESS MANAGEMENT CLASS WILL TEACH YOU THAT.
Basic BMWs, Audis, Etc. sell for almost double their prices ( of what they cost in the US ) in India. They set up assembly plants, and invest heavily in this market for a reason. They only sell approx. 7000-10000 cars each, every year. Only a few thousand buy their cars in India, not millions. Go figure again.
You have a very shallow knowledge of business studies. Theres no point arguing about the business model with you.
You talk like you have done a risk assessment for this company.

heres a low end electric product for the Indian market :http://auto.ndtv.com/news/tork-moto...ke-t6x-will-be-priced-at-rs-1-25-lakh-1397927

FYI: the Tesla Roadster established the Brand started at the $100,000 in the US. It's super car rivaling performance set the tone for the brand. This made Tesla famous. And contrary to your belief the Roadster was Elon Musk's baby. Their second car the pedestrian Model S starts at a cool $70,000. It is not priced like an "average car"
You played yourself again boy. :)

Well tbh you can believe what you want.
Tesla is keeping in the direction of making their electric cars cheap, like he said bf, he want to sell an electrical one at the price of an engine one, and the model 3 is a 35K$ car... the next one, will be in the averag engine price so, around 20-25K$.

And when tesla will choose to enter the Indian market, they will mostly manufacture them in India, therefore the price will be lower and so on...

And it's not like I have somthing against India or their BIz plans, but it's just agaisnt this stupid investment BY those ppl... since Tata is going into the electrical cheap cars...

I don't dream up business logic. I have studied it enough to make my argument. You can continue to believe what you want. Immense infrastructure to support a few thousand, not millions of sales.
A clear examples are these:
"Make in India" model Merc GLC is still upwards of $90,000 in India on road. So much for cheaper cars being successful.

The market is very big and varied.

In a market where the entry level BMW 1 series costs $55,000, these are not cars made for masses.
Go explain to them how they are headed towards impending doom.

Electric supercars/high performance cars have a huge future, even in India. That said the companies will produce electric cars for the masses when theres a demand for it. This private company need not worry about that right now.
It's not an Indian achievement, but a private one- please keep them separate.

Meet the M-Zero, India's First Supercar
m-zero-main_678x352_61427789416.jpg

The business of creating machines is more or less a dream job for most of us. Right from penning down those curves on the drawing board, to the concept, and finally, the finished product - the journey is laced with passion, creativity and that god-like feeling of creation.

On that note, let us introduce you to Mean Metal Motors - an automotive start-up which is working on India's first supercar. Yes, you read that right, our very own supercar! If the Polish, Germans, and British can make it, why not us?

mzero-supercar_650x310_61427783803.jpg

Called the M-Zero, it has 4 teams from 4 countries working on turning this dream in to reality. While the teams in Portugal and Italy take care of body and styling, the UK team looks after the simulations and analysis. The remaining one i.e. the team in India, is responsible for the engine, transmission, aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, electronics, and energy storage systems.

The M-Zero will get a light-weight carbon-fibre monocoque tub chassis, which will give provide the required rigidity. Though it will be designed by these folks at Mean Metal Motors, it will then be given to various parts manufacturers for production.

About the engine - it will be a parallel hybrid mid-engined supercar. Sarthak Paul, founder and director, said they're planning on getting either a 4.0-litre AMG V8 bi-turbo or the 4.8-litre NA V10, though the procurement process is yet to be initiated. Sarthak adds that they are targeting the 500+bhp mark for the power output.

Since this is a parallel hybrid supercar, there will be an electric motor involved. The electric motor will be capable of producing approximately 250bhp, which, in turn, will give the M-Zero a combined power tally of 750+bhp. The total torque developed will be 900Nm. So it is sorted in the power department, but what about that supercar-like feel? We are told there's a lot of thought going in that direction.

m-zero-side-main_678x352_71427789394.jpg

There are concepts which are being developed specifically to make the M-Zero more performance oriented. First on the list is the Crosshair - it basically acts like a vertical stabilizer that not only adds to the stability of the car, but also takes care of the aerodynamics. Still at the research stage, Sarthak says that while cornering, when the yaw comes into play, the crosshair will reduce the oversteer. However, there are a lot of details to be ironed out, and a whole bunch of simulations to be run, before we see this working in real-world conditions.

The M-Zero will also see the usage of special alloys for better adaptability of shapes on the structure, which will, again, contribute in the aerodynamics department. Moving on, these folks will use hydro-pneumatic struts for the light-weight suspension system; while the hydro part adjusts the ground clearance, the pressure attends to the stiffness of the ride.

Next up is the Turbulizer - which lowers the thickness of the boundary layer. Well, in short, it reduces aerodynamic drag. The size of the Turbulizer will be in micrometers, and can be manufactured by some surface finishing techniques.

mzero-supercar_650x310_41427783921.jpg

Another important feature of the M-Zero is the Fingerprint Keyless entry. Nope, it isn't just science fiction anymore! However, the presence of this will mean that no one other than the owner will be able to open the car. That leaves a lot of questions and details that need to be attended to.

With that being said, we must admit that the M-Zero looks absolutely radical and flaunts a stunning design. Mean Metal Motors is currently looking for funds, and intend to raise $7 million in the first round of funding, which will help them make their first prototype. The manufacturing facility, sadly, will not be in India but in a Scandinavian country. Also, the market they're looking at is Europe.

interesting design.
it uses the same engine as the agm gt
