The worst things to Islamabad and Rawalpindi have happened under the current regime.

One of them is McDonald's restaurants in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Visited the place today and I'm shocked. How could someone do this and no one is bothered. 6000 yards of a Public park have been leased to a company on very minimal charges for 70 years. All the CDA rules have been violated. Could there be a greater example of favouring someone.

The sad part is not even a single letter appeared in any paper. This is horrible. Humari qaum behis ho gayi hai.

Its too much of bending down.

We are just too much now.

It is enough.

I hope in protestation you did not buy a meal from the Golden Arches! :)

Are you talking to me

I am talking about how Musharraf government is being too nice.

Do you notice that if one sees a white man in Pakistan, they think that some superior wealthy rich man has come to Pakistan, just cause he is white. :D

Some even use powder to look like them. :D Ok i will stop stereotyping now.

People have. Islamabad is the city of the dead. We are finally getting something to get excited about (granted Mc Donalds is aiming a bit low) and themn people have to ruin it.

I agree we need Isloo to come back to life as its the city of dead but this does not mean you start violating the city rules.

Food outlets have been opening in the past but they were all in commercial areas and the owners had to par handsome amount for the land.

This time the land was leased to them which is utter nonsense.

Sparten you must be aware how strictules are. One day you make an illegal construction and the next day the demolition squad will surely arrive. Yet how can they allow this nonsense.

Isnt this another form of corruption

Yes I am aware Lahori. Have you gone there yet, its right on the edge of the park next to the road, not smack in the center. F-9 park is HUGE a small Mac on the sides is not gonna make much of a difference. at all.

Yes i have visited the place twice since its opening. But even an inch of illegal construction should not be allowed. It makes a hell of difference. Rules are there to be followed.

If what you say is right why is CDA bothered by an extra shade, an extra pillar, an extra room, an extra story. Ofcourse that is a little thing and one is not occupying anyones property or money for that

Lahori, we already have Hotshots at one end. (They changed its name to something I have no clue about). Nobody ever complained about that.

Anyway the Mac is none too good. When did you go BTW.

Yes Hotshot has a new name now but that's in quite a different location than McDonald's.

You must visit the new restaurant to realise what has been done.

Even if hotshot was built in violation of rules and law this does not justify that we carry on the practice unchecked.
