What's new

MBT 2000 Myanmar seen during an exercise ;)

K-8 is a Pakistani variant that is produced in Pakistan...
K-8P is the variant produced in Pakistan.
K-8V is the variant produced in China for Venezuela.
K-8W is the variant produced in China for BD nd so on.

As I said, you surely don't know about these procurements. The reality could give you some sleepless nights. ;)
Lolzz. So now you are retreating from this thread after failing to give any proof..

K-8 is a JV ... K-8P is a different/specialised variant than the one being exported to other nations..

Yes, only Pakistan uses K-8Ps.But so far Pakistan has not exported a single K-8P.

It also shows a Chinese wheeled IFV or tank destroyer, PTL02?

False assumption. PAC is joint partner in jl-8/k-8 project and markets it along with China to customers. It even overhauls them.

Regarding MBT 2000, the joint marketing and profit sharing will be done between the two from 2011 onwards.
So I think Morocco got after 2011 they bought 150 of these

Moroco I think purchased VT-1As in 2010.

All MBT-2000s exported to Myanmar, Bangladesh, Morocco are entirely manufactured and exported by China. The same is the case with JL-8s.

MBT-2000 is the mid level export version of AK (AK being the high tech).. VT1A is lower end version.. The profits are distributed between Pak & China.. The tanks are jointly marketed by both coubtries.

K-8 again is a JV.

Yes, only Pakistan uses K-8Ps.But so far Pakistan has not exported a single K-8P.
Kid .. K-8 is a JV .. All export profits are distributed among both countries..

I know it's hard for you as an Indian to digest.. But try it.

The profits may or may not have been distributed. But my point is that not a single K-8 or MBT-2000/VT-1A exported were produced or delivered by Pakistan.

Meanwhile KSA bought .. 150 high end Aks.

Please shut up.. You are embarassing yourself.

This KSA news I still have doubts do you have relatives in Army if yes what news they have about this sale to KSA.

The Al-Khalid, a product of Chinese and Pakistani co-operation, is currently being marketed overseas by China as the MBT-2000 without Pakistani permission, an HIT spokesman told IHS Jane's . On 8 November HIT moved to close this loophole by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Al-Khalid exports with Chinese firm Norinco.

The MoU arranges for joint marketing and profit sharing between the two partners, as well as ongoing technology transfer.

CATIC / Hongdu / Nanchang K-8 / JL-8 / Karakorum - Specifications - Technical Data / Description
The JL-8/K-8 was developed by the China Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (75%) and the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, PAC (25%). Export variants are marketed by the Chinese CATIC as K-8 Karakorum.

Seems like you had a brain flush, the parts i mentioned are made at PAC facility for every export K-8. Pakistan DOES NOT EXPORT K-8 because Pakistan DOES NOT MANUFACTURE THE COMPLETE aircraft, rather 25% of it as per the JV agreement.

Got It?

Not really. All JL-8s exported are reffered to as K-8.
Pakistan has so far not produced a single K-8 for export.

Previous share of PAC in K-8 project was 18% and sanctioned was 25%. Every K-8 has its some part of fuselage and stabilizer made in PAC and then shipped to China for complete assembly. Quite small contribution but that was where we stepped in jets manufacturing in late 1980s. The Basic difference between JL-8 and K-8 is power plant and Ejection seat. Egypt was more interested in Pakistani version aka K-8 due to these main reasons and had asked for the production line specifically of K-8. Am not unaware what they got in the end.
