Maths topic you really hate >_<

. . .
My favorite math problem when I was an engineering student was:

Professor Einstein is walking on a volcano, which happens to be a perfect cone.
Height H, and the radius at the bottom is R.
He is at the height H/2 when the Volcano has an eruption and lava flows down the side
with speed S which is just above 2 * s, where s is the speed of professor Einstein.
Obviously he wont have time to run down to the foot of the volcano, where he will be safe.
There is however a cave at H/4 and 45 degrees away from his position.
The problem is to find the minimum distance to the cave, and figure out if he makes it in time.

You have to find a minimum in a conical coordinate system.
A guy described the problem to me, which he had to work on during an exam,
and after about 90 minutes of calculations, he got the answer.

So I solved the problem in about a minute...

He was not pleased to see my correct answer!

.
:undecided: Which one subtract legs add something ...........

No, something like "the kid with a crush+the sweet heartthrob" written with chalk on bathroom walls, or on the corner of the math notebook, before cutting it well with a pen.....used to give moments of hormonal rush!! :P

BTW, again, you need a girlfriend. Find one asap. :D
