Patna: In what is an insult to the Sukma naxal attack martyrs, the truck carrying the martyrs’ mortal remains was stopped enroute Patna airport as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's cavalcade was passing through that route.
Also, Nitish Kumar did not stop to pay homage to the 6 CRPF jawans who died in the naxal attack on Monday.
Ram Kripal Yadav, MoS, Rural Development, reacting over the issue of the CM’s convoy getting precedence over the mortals remains of the martyrs, said it is surprising that the Chief Minister could not find time to pay homage to the martyrs though his residence is very close to the Patna airport.
He also expressed disappointment that the CM could not send one of his ministers to the airport where the martyrs’ bodies arrived.
He further said the CM should have stopped after seeing the martyrs vehicle, and saluted the brave heroes, instead of watching a film.
