Mardan suicide bomber was Afghan national: investigation report

The suicide bomber, who hit Mardan district court on Friday, was an Afghan national and he reached Kachehri on foot, according to initial police investigation report.

According to the report, the suicide bomber was aged between 30 to 35 years and he hails from Afghanistan.

The suicide attacker came on foot. He had a grenade and was wearing an 8-kilogram suicide jacket, the report said.

His body parts have been sent for a DNA test, it said.

At least 13 were killed and 35 injured when two bomb blasts hit the District Courts here on Friday.Two policemen and four lawyers were among those killed in the attack.
