Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed (NH) was a Captain in the army not a Colonel as the thread title suggests

He was affectionately called Col. Sher Khan by his grandad ever since he was little. The pet name stuck and was even used informally in the military for him, "Capt. Col. Sher Khan". IIRC, he was made an honorary Col. after his shahadat, not a 100% sure though. I think its very beautiful that he be remembered as Capt. Col. Sher Khan Shaheed.

The fauji who defends the nation passes nowhere near DHA. Although, he too has his own ideas about his place among the civilians.

It is a source of income for the military backed, ex-military land mafia. DHA is run by 'retired' service men banking on their and the military's clout and no penny that it earns goes anywhere near the military's official pocket. They even snatch land from educational institutes, please call a spade what it is.

This is not a zero sum game where if one criticises the military then he/she must be a posse of some political party.

Where do you think all those thousands of missing people went?

Those thousands of people should have behaved like "banday ka puttar" if they did not want to end up in detention centers.
And if I remember correctly, Baitullah Mehsud boasted some 15000 "warriors"---several thousand others with people like Fazlullah, Faqir Muhammad, Mangal Bagh and the likes---sure many of them "warriors" went missing along with hundreds of others who left their homes in the middle of night to answer the calling of jihad alongside those who got blown to bits in army operations. Then many are in Afghanistan when they fled operations in North-West.
Same goes with Baluchistan where many of the so called missing people are chilling out in UAE thanks to intel ageny of our Muslim brotherly country while others attend Indian sponsored training camps in brotherly Afghanistan.

With that being said, ISI sure did commit mistakes in the past including abducting people and torturing them (those were not random people tho to begin with)---Some of them turned against the state after their ordeal. Take Allah Nazar Baloch for instance or commander Banyamin of Swat fame. Pinning the entire blame on ISI for missing people however is totally wrong yet ISI is not angel either.
