Memo Commission said Mansoor Ijaz's statement would be recorded by audio or video link on Feb 22.
The session of Memo Commission led by Justice Qazi Faez Isa was held here in Islamabad where counsels on the part of their parties argued for and against their stance.
Deputy Attorney General Tariq Mahmood said that he has written letter to the Canadian BlackBarry company, seeking details of communication between Mansoor Ijaz and Hussain Haqqani. He added that couriers receipts and text of the letter would be moved before the commission on next hearing.
Petitioner Barrister Zafarullah said that Mansoor Ijaz is proclaimed offender in two cases; therefore he would not go abroad to record his statement. He said the nation is conscious of the reality that memo issue has become outdated.
Zahid Bukhari, the counsel for Hussain Haqqani, said that Mansoor Ijaz is proclaimed offender in four cases; despite having US citizenship, he would definitely avoid to record his statement.
Justice Qazi Faez Isa said that Mansoor Ijazs statement may be recorded by audio or video link under Article 146. It would solve all the problems.
