They need nearly 2 years to test NAG, than they will present it to IA. IA will test it for 1-2 years extensively.

So bring Javelin now or never.

Thats is true and NAg has been pretty successful. Seeing the videos of it being fired and it seems pretty good. Im hoping for the best also....

Nag should be fast tracked & we should also take up the co-development of NG Javelin with the US,that way whatever knowlege we will gain by developing it can be applied to NAG

Well we cannot forget that new version of Javelin will be developed by a US-India JV which is the leader in defense products,surely we can learn a lot of things

I'd pick Javelin any day over any atgm DRDO would offer in next 20 years.

LOL looks like DRDO trying to throw a spanner in the Javelin deal. A man portable ATGM is a completely different ball game. Better to start a new project. Off course with DRDO real timelines it will take another 20 years either ways.

Better go with Javelin Joint production.

The problem is that even NAG (carrier launched) is still not inducted after 20 years in the making. While Javelin is tried and tested. DRDO should not talk about shoulder fired NAG till they have got NAMICA NAG and HELINA inducted.
