Unfortunately our army is itself allied with land mafias, whose gonna ask them aye.

Yup that's true --- land mafias have eaten up agriculture land of Lahore- still they want more, now they are after area surrounding river ravi and unfortunately our PM is also dreaming of some new Lahore around river ravi ----- there are so many housing societies who still haven't handed over possession for the last 10+ years .

There's no need of housing societies anymore in Lahore.

Dha or someone else, the sad truth is that these land mafias have eaten up almost all of Lahore agriculture land --- there greed has no limits and someone should stop before they eat up agriculture lands of other cities.

Another sad reality is that agriculture business has become very tough and the govts aren't bothered either -- so anybody offering good money (to build some society), they sell their lands. ----- I had conversation with some people who used to have agriculture land in one big society of Lahore --- They said that they were offered a very handsome figure that they couldn't even imagine, so they sold their agriculture lands.

DHA have bulldozed mango trees on dozens times bigger area than city and couple of other societies combined.

Unfortunately even educated people doesn't care about trees and loss of fertile lands to senseless expansion of housing societies

There are multiple housing societies on same road, BOSAN ROAD MULTAN

1. Buchh Villas
2. CITI Housing
3. DHA

Those who are making CITI or other housing societies as an excuse and face savers for DHA, they should know that those housing societies are just 10% of the size of DHA but mango trees were chopped off for all of them including earlier Wapda Town, Model Town and Royal Orchards. But DHA being a flag bearer of deforestation of Multan has wrecked a havoc on Multan, it is a nuclear bomb disaster for the city of Multan. The DHA could have been built on the other side of Chennab River where Sand Dunes could have been converted into a new city because none other than DHA possess ability to do.

All this destruction happened right under the nose of govts --- It's too late for Lahore, maybe they place restrictions for other cities. ---- even though, there's so many vacant plots in different societies+ too many incomplete housing societies, still the mafia is eyeing whatever little pockets are left in surroundings of Lahore ---

Funny enough the dha being developed in Bahawalpur is being done on all sand dunes/tibbay. It is also probably going to be the best due to how much area they have to work with.

Only DHA possess heavy machinery to convert the sand dunes of Thal in a modern liveable area. West of Chennab in Muzaffargarh, they could have bought land for just 1 lac per acre because it is just sand and requires a million per acre to cultivate but DHA purchased Mango orchards in 1 million per acre due to their own ease. Not even a single acre of DHA Multan is other than Mango farms.
