This is what if this news is true....

As per sources Col Habib may have died due to extreme torture and to cover it up they issued death certificate but later found this move may have been backfire so they are now denying this certificate by calling it fake.

Otherwise he had no knowledge of our strategic assets. Basically he was retired and had no value as intell source.

Nepal did contribute and issued his arrival picture plus he himself send some pictures back home which went viral and everybody comes to know he was kidnapped by R&AW so they can't use him for some false flag but still they wanted to make some confessional video which Col Sahib refused and probably became cause of his killing....

I must say Col Sahib must be aware and should have taken precautions but he fell trapped despite he worked for intelligence.

I dont think he worked for intelligence. A person even with limited knowledge about intelligence activities is sharp enough to spot such a scam. One of the problem i find with our armed forces that Officers of Col level and below seldom are granted privilege to learn near tactics and modern warfare knowledge. Once on officer post most of them enjoy privileges and get fat. Our soldiers should go through courses regularly which can teach them about how to handle themselves in situations such as Col Habib.

Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal on Thursday said that the death certificate of Lt-Col (retd) Habib Zahir, who went missing from Nepal in 2017, seems "fake".

Faisal, while speaking at the FO's weekly briefing, said that Habib was "kidnapped" from Nepal's Lumbini area two years ago and his family was extremely worried about his safety.
