Malaysia considering to purchase JF-17 Thunder from Pakistan: Malaysian HC

Lol In Bahrain Air show atleast both Tejas will fly but only 1 JFT will fly whereas the other will be stuck on the ground in static mode.
But at the end of the day we sill have buyers while you lost 30 jets , 10 choppers in last 3 years alone and ofcourse no potential buyers.

Lol.Malaysian program is mainly to replace MiG-29.
RMAF considers that RF-5E requires no additional replacement when they retire as the new jets will provide adequate recce capability.

Also Gripen is close behind SH

Kid thats called reliability. We do not need any aircraft as standby for the flying Thunder but in case of Tejas seems U urself doubt it like anything.

I still can not find any confirmation of static display of Tejas. Why so shy of showing it to general public? Now dont tell me there is something sooper dooper sensitive stuff inside the cockpit that U dont want to show to the public. JFT has been a show stopper both in air and ground and we want people to have closer look at it both ways.

JF-17 Block III would be great and easiest option for Malaysia.

THIS is both for you and @blitzkrieg.Keep Tejas out of the discussion here. Stick to the topic at hand. The fact remains that there are many hurdles before a sale is realized. IF the sale goes through then we can discuss the merits or demerits of it. Personally it is not over till the deed is signed. SO CHILL OUT.

Lol.JF-17 on static display shows that one aircraft is on standby as the flying one may fail.Whereas for Tejas no standby is required as both can fly.

Do U seriously have any idea of what static display means? Do U really think they gonna just shoo away the visitors that back off we gonna fly this aircraft. And do U really know whats the purpose of static display? Also the performance of Tejas is supposed to be in solo so whats the other aircraft doing in air at that time? Thats is stand by in air for the the one who is flying.

Malaysia buying JF17 is very interesting. Given that India trains Malaysian pilots on the Flankers and also assists in their maintenance, what are the chances that IAF will have complete insight into the Thunder once Malaysia procures them

about 40. 2 squadrons of 18 jets each and 4 as trainers/inductionjets. the low cost <$30million means buying a lot is not a problem. i think they may go for a differant engine though.
