Mother Teresa never desired to enter politics.
I'm just trying to make a comparison. Being a social activist doesn't necessarily mean you'd be a good leader.

Conspiracies aside - I do get a feeling that she's being groomed.
It doesn't matter. She's got no charisma, no real support base, nothing really special. She's a symbol and an activist and that's it. Only bleeding-heart liberals would be voting for her.
You are not in the real world then..
money, media, a good script writer, personal groomers and created scenarios can turn you into an impressive person too.
Well, if that's the case, Nawaz Sharif wouldn't be in power, wouldn't he? How did the balding goblin beat the "Lion of Pakistan" who won us a World Cup, and built a cancer hospital?
Money.
And Malala doesn't have money. Her "groomers" would probably not be keen on handing out money to others either. She's not a popular figure, and if she does manage to get into some powerful position and messes up, 90% sure she'd be kicked out in a few days.
She's a very poor investment for potential "groomers".
All the attention, hype for someone as you describe as "not impressive" gets one thinking as to what's the deal.
People have already dismissed her as a misguided foreign tool.
