Chinese new year has nothing to do with god worshipping. It's okay your for is not diminished by your lack of knowledge about their biggest customs.

We are not slaves like Pakistan who will run to Saudi Arabia, Turkey or China. We decide our holidays based on our culture not others. Even if we do something for other country it will be only in reciprocation of what they have done. We already have exported Buddhism to China. Now we are exporting Yoga.

China will celebrate our New year. We don't have to, because they already know lot of things about our practices, the power of yoga, meditation, so they believe in Consciousness & our culture more than yours.
