We are the only civilization state to have withstood the test of times. All the other empires fell and vanished. What is left of the Roman Empire? What is left of the British Empire? Mongolian Empire? Japanese Empire? German Empire? Ottoman Empire? China as a civilization state close to 6000 years has been continuous from one without a dynasty to the first dynasty to the last dynasty to what has evolved into the People's Republic of China going strong and getting stronger with each passing day. American history is a puny drop in a lake compared to Chinese history. As Martin Jacques put it China is the longest and most successful state ever. In Professor Wolff's words: China holds the world in its palm. Why would you feel bad? Old China fucked up and paid for it. No one denies it, it's a fact. New China learned from past mistakes unlike many other fallen empires and will soon become a great superpower. Egypt rose and fell. Rome rose and fell. The Great Caliphate rose and fell. The British Empire rose and fell. China is the only empire to have risen, fallen, and risen again multiple times through history. 50 years from now, China will probably be the most powerful country to ever exist and you feel bad for it? Weird logic dude.
